Welcome to the May Ultimate Blog Challenge
It’s that exciting time again to meet up with our “old” blog challenge friends and for the new ones just joining in, welcome to the May Ultimate Blog Challenge! You could say we’re jumping for joy to see everyone again. This is my 22nd UBC since I joined in January 2106. I have completed each challenge, some were easier than others, some were a challenge in themselves but all were exciting.
This is a poem I wrote a few years ago to get you going on the Ultimate Blog Challenge!
If you are new to the challenge you will see a Friday Story Time by Lia blog post. Lia is my 2 1/2 year old great granddaughter and she started blogging when she was about 8 months old with some items she did product reviews for.
Since then she has shared many stories about her baking, gardening, painting, and anything else creative her and I do. You can visit Lia The Baby Blogger category and read some of her delicious meals, her gardening and sewing plus other stories full of love, compassion and humorous blogs. Lia and I make a great blogging team!
I didn’t realize it until I looked back but since April 2020 Lia and I have completed 11 blog challenges out of 13 months. This Ultimate Blog Challenge is our fourth in a row for 2021. http://themarthareview.com/another-challenge-under-our-belt/
Are you excited to start the May challenge? I know some write their blogs in advance and set them to automatically publish on each day. Some have a monthly theme where it’s like a mini series and others like me just write what ever comes to mind. Paul, our great host sends out daily blog topic suggestions and sometimes I use his ideas but mostly I write my blogs late at night so it’s ready for morning. Whatever your writing style is, I’m ready to read, comment, share, and like your blogs! Make sure you have your settings to accept comments or you’ll miss out on all those that want to leave a comment on your blog post.
One of Lia’s and my blogger and Facebook friend, Brenda has nicknamed Lia “little Sunshine” because she is always happy and sharing her smile with everyone. After Lia received her “title” I made up the Sunshine Studio card for when Lia sends a surprise painting or baked goods to some one. Her mommy took the picture when they were hiking and it was perfect.
Brenda also writes poetry and one poem in her published book was “Earth Angel” dedicated to Lia. If you scroll down this blog you will see “Earth Angel” poem. Her poetry book, “Writing Through the Soul” has some beautiful poems. http://themarthareview.com/writing-through-the-soul-book-review/
So back to the challenge, a few days ago I posted a blog with helpful tips for blogging and if you haven’t seen it you might want to check it out. The one thing that I see on some posts is when I click a link in their blog, it opens to that page but not in a new window. It opens and I lose the original blog post. I have tips on how to correct that plus a few others if using WordPress. I hope they can help you! http://themarthareview.com/tips-to-get-ready-for-the-may-ubc/
I’m looking forward to reconnecting to my seasoned bloggers that are coming back to this challenge and meeting new members that are just finding this awesome challenge. Remember to visit, like, comment, and share others blogs as they will do the same. You may be surprised to see your stats soar off the roof! Once again welcome to the May Ultimate Blog Challenge and as the saying goes…. BLOG ON!
