Welcome Rusty to the Family
Today’s topic for the Cornerstone Content Blog Challenge is something that’s all video. What a great topic and how cool to share videos to Welcome Rusty to the Family for my Friday Story Time by Lia!
I know we are suppose to by all video but I have to give you a little info first. Papa loaded me in the truck very, very early Tuesday morning with mommy and mama to go on a long ride. Was I surprised when I found out we were going to look for a puppy for me! There were lots of little beagle puppies and it was hard to decide which one to pick, they were all so cute! This little one kept coming over to mommy and me, he was so tiny and adorable. As soon as I held him, he snuggled with me and I knew he was going to by my puppy! I will be sharing more about Rusty in another Friday Story Time but for today I have a few videos of Rusty that mommy recorded. Rusty was 8 weeks old on September 16th up.
This last video was taken this morning, I’m taking Rusty for his morning walk. I have to teach him not to go in my garden.
I hope you enjoyed watching the videos to help me welcome Rusty to the family. I’ll be sharing lots more soon!
How wonderful that Rusty has found a new home! And that Lia has a new puppy!! In the picture where she is holding him, it looks like love at first sight.
That’s about what it was Jeanine, love at first sight. Now they can grow up together.
Rusty is so cute. That is the best way to pick a puppy, Martha. The one that comes to you. He reminds me of my Fred as a puppy. By the way, before I got Fred his name was Rusty. He did not come to it. He was a Fred.
Lia was a bit overwhelmed when we first got there but this little one kept following her Brenda! The one that had more white was bigger and kept jumping on Lia, she didn’t like that but he was cute! Rusty and Lia make a good pair! How neat that Fred was Rusty!
Me not comment?!?!? Okay, first 8 weeks- I gotta say 8 is my favorite number, ironically the term 8 up is a negative thing in the military- may be my first sign the army and I would not get along, LOL! Almost offending me in my choice of favorite numbers, no? Don’t get me wrong I was proud of my decision to enlist and all but highly offended by others telling me about choices of mine that were of no harm to others- or that ever would be! Ok, that has more to do with another post of yours- how is Chris by the way? LOL….Liberty is lying by my side dreaming of meeting her new pup Rusty “2”. Love the video of the two by the garden- is Lia teaching Rusty to search for butterflies? He is a hound dog, who will howl when on the hunt….he’ll pick up the scent and put your earmuffs on because that howling with the many butterflies will be NON STOP! Lia already has him SITTING I see! Good job Lia and Rusty! And now for a family photo of everyone….no just kidding- I understand posting that may not be something for you to share with the world- identity and all BUT a nice photo over the mantlepiece for the holidays!
Well he’s 9 weeks now. LOL Every morning Lia and Rusty run around the garden a few laps and yes she’s working on “sit”and “fetch” (he’s doing great on that) Pamela. We had a beagle when Chris was about 10 years old, do I remember the howling! We’ll work on a family photo, maybe around the Christmas tree!
Rusty is adorable!! And of course, Lia is even more so… how is she that way at 3 am in the morning :)??
LOL when we wake her for a road trip she is sound asleep until we buckle her in her seat then wakes up like it’s 8 in the morning. Lia is just a happy person always Vidya.
Rusty is such an adorable puppy! I can see that Rusty and Lia are already best friends! I can’t wait to see more Rusty and Lia videos.
They are bonding and both will grow up together Alice. Rusty and Lia reminds me of Marty and Alexandra. Marty was a toy poodle that we got when Alex was about 4 or 5 and she always called him “her” puppy.
What cute videos! Hi Rusty! Nice to meet you. 🙂
Rusty is such a sweet puppy Amanda! I wish you could meet him in person!
[…] Alright because it is National Dog Week, we are all about loving our dogs and celebrating them, right? Or maybe you’re looking for that brand new family member that is a pup to add to your family- cue: Lia and Rusty. […]
When Rusty joined our family i didn’t even realize it was so close to National Dog Week Pamela! For being a member of our family for only a little over a week, he fits right in!
Charlie and I think Rusty is just about the cutest thing ever next to Lia and if we didn’t have 4 dogs of our own and Charlie wanting a Bulldog a Beagle would be on our must have list. Named Snoopy from Charlie Brown aka C’s nickname.
We love beagles Glenda, we had the cutest one when our girls were younger, way back about 40 years ago!
