We Need to Whisper
It’s Friday again and time for another story by Lia the Baby Blogger. GGPapa has been teaching Lia how to whisper. Today Lia is telling us we need to whisper at times.
GGPapa, GGMama and I got ready early and headed to church. It’s a good thing Papa taught me how to whisper because I had to be very quiet when I was sitting in church. This is Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church.
The first thing we did was light some candles, I stood by papa very quietly while he was doing this.
We sat in the last pew, I think we did that in case I started talking too loud. But I was so busy sitting, standing, kneeling I didn’t even have time to talk too much. When the Priest walked up to the alter, we all stood up and everyone was very quiet, even me!
When we said a prayer we knelt down. Next thing we did was stand up and every one was shaking hands or waving to each other so of course I waved to everyone. All the people around me were smiling at me too.
It came time for communion and I’m too little to recieve it but mama carried me up and the Priest blessed me, calling me a little Lampchop.
They have such beautiful windows in the church and while walking back to our seat, I watched the sun as it came through the stained glass. I held papa’s hand and he was so proud of me.
After the mass was over we all stood up while the Priest walked back down the aisle, looking over at me smiling so I waved to him. When we were walking out of the church people came over to mama and papa and told them how perfect and quiet I was during the service. Of course I smiled and gave them one of my little Princess waves.
It was such a nice morning so mama and I visited a beautiful statue, much bigger than what’s in mama’s garden!
When the people were heading to their cars, I waved to them, they smiled and waved back. If I could talk, I would be saying, “Bless you and have a wonderful day.”
Love Lia..have a blessed day baby
