We Lost The Dog!
We Lost The Dog!
So we had a scare this morning, we lost the dog! The pup follows us upstairs when it’s bedtime and snuggles in his bed. My hubby gets up about 5:00 AM and I follow a short time later unless I’m working on my earning sites from my pillow. The pup usually comes down with me in the morning but today he didn’t so I assumed he was already downstairs. As we were getting ready to leave for work, Rich asked where to pup was. We both called for him and went to his sleeping spots but he wasn’t anywhere. Then I had the fear that we put him outside last night and forgot him. I knew that wasn’t the case but went outside looking anyways. Nope not there. Then I checked the garage thinking maybe he went out there with my last night and stayed out there. Nope, not there either.
So back through the house, upstairs and downstairs searching, nope no where to be found. I went back upstairs and looked on the floor near the end of the bed where he usually sleeps but not there either. Now I’m getting worried, he’s 14 years old, not in the best health and partially hard of hearing but he always senses us where he and us are. Now I’m getting very scared, thinking maybe he crawled somewhere for his last resting place. For some reason, I pulled the spread up from the floor and out from under the bed, he popped out his head! His old sherpa lined doggie bed had been stored under there since we got him a new warm and fuzzy bed and he was snuggled up there! The pup and I went downstairs, I gave him breakfast and told him not to scare us anymore. Pup was safe and we were on our way to work!
We got the pup when he was about three months old, he’s part of the family. He is a great traveler and always goes with us on the long rides to see the grand babies. When at the hotel, we can spoil both our granddaughter and the pup at the same time. Fur babies are just like our children, we worry about them just as much.
A friend of ours thought they lost their dog. He got out via the doggie door, had his adventure and then came home!
Glad he came home Toni. It sure was scary when we couldn’t find ours.
Oh, what a nightmare! I’m glad you found your dog in the end. Losing a pet even for a minute is so stressful.
Being as he’s old, I was afraid I would find him eternally sleeping. I moved his bed put and now he sleeps on the rug next to it. Kids! LPL. Thanks for visiting.
