Watermelon Slicer and Server

I’ve seen the watermelon slicer and server for some time but since I’ve always cut watermelon with a knife, I thought I didn’t need one of these slicers.   This is amazing and so easy to slice my watermelon and serve it without the mess.  I had a half piece of watermelon and got ready to cut it in slices.

I started making one slice then I placed the one side of the slicer in the same cut as the first one and cut my second piece. It works by having the small cutter at the top of the slicer that cuts the slice from the sides and bottom without using force. It goes through the watermelon easily and  I continued until I got to the end of the watermelon, then flipped the slicer over to convert it to a server.

The server side works similar to tongs, just grab the slice of watermelon and squeeze the two sides together and lift it out of the watermelon shell without any rind.  The slicer is 100% stainless steel and can be washed by hand or in the dishwasher. While I wanted this for watermelon, it’s also a great cake slicer and server. Just cut the cake the same way as the watermelon, flip it over to pick up the piece of cake and place on a plate without any mess.

I am pleased with how the ShaniNY watermelon slicer and server worked when cutting up my watermelon. This is a great product for a cookout or picnic, just slice and serve without any rind to worry about.  I received the ShaniNY Kitchen product in exchange for my honest review and all opinions are my own.

I have a watermelon slicer similar to this one. I also recived a melon baller with mine. I was able to try it out before I left for vacation. I absolutely love using it. It helps and is very useful.

Oh I would have loved a melon baller but the slicer is great! I haven’t tried it on cake but seems like it would be great to keep your fingers out of the frosting! Glad you had a great vacation and thanks for stopping by Sandy.
