Wait What, it’s Time for another UBC Again?

Wait what, it’s time for another UBC again?? Plus it’s Friday Story Time by Lia so once again I get to welcome all the participants, both new and old to this amazing July Ultimate Blog Challenge before ma does!

This July is an exciting month and is full of surprises! I’m leaving tomorrow to go to Disney World with my grandma, grandpa, daddy, Aunt Jazz and Uncle Trey! Then when I get home I’m packing again and going to visit Lake George area in New York with mommy, ma and pop! It’s ma and pop’s 55th anniversary on July 29th and we will be going to the church they got married in back in 1967. It’s also pop and Uncle Zac’s birthday month so I will have lots of exciting blogs to share for this challenge!

The past few months between the April UBC and now have been SUPER busy! I managed to write a Friday Story Time by Lia blog every week and shared my gardening, baking and a few day trips we went on. One trip was to the Fort Fisher Aquarium and we drove our car right on a ferry to get to the aquarium!

Another fun trip took me up in the air! Ma, mommy and me went on a helicopter ride and it was SO much fun! We flew over the ocean and the land and I wasn’t scared at all! We only took about a 10 minute flight but next trip were are going to take a longer on because it was so much fun! You can read all about my other exciting and delicious blogs here, at A Day In Lia’s Shoes.

I also took on a challenge the end of June. I signed up to the Longest Day Alzheimer’s Fundraiser! My great, great grandma had Alzheimer’s and passed away before I was born but ma has told me so much about her plus my sweet little friend Ruthie recently passed away from that also. I’m hoping to help make a difference and with all the donations help find a cure.

I had a Lia’s Sunshine Bakery fundraiser bake sale in my neighborhood and many neighbors stopped by for some of my delicious cookies, brownies and muffins. Within a few hours everything was gone and I collected $155.00 in donations!

I started my goal at $500.00 but have had so many friends donate to my team that I increased it to $750.00. In about only six weeks I’m now WAY OVER my original goal with $895.00 raised and I’m not stopping! I couldn’t have got to where I am without my special friends and I THANK THEM ALL SO MUCH!! There are many way that my friends can donate, I have my FB link, the Alzheimer’s link plus mommy made a QR code so people can scan it with their phone to make a donation. How cool is that!

You can follow my progress on the links too! I’ll be writing more updates on my fundraiser soon!

But for now it’s time for both ma and me to thank Paul, the host of the Ultimate Blog Challenge for another great upcoming challenge and welcome back all the friends we’ve met here so far and greet the new ones to this awesome blog challenge. So from now until the end of the month, let’s all write blogs so others can visit, read, comment and share. Like I’m watching my donations rise, your blog stats will rise also! So as ma always says, BLOG ON, we can’t wait to read alll your exciting blogs!! I’ll be back next Friday for another Friday Story Time by Lia!!

I think it’s wonderful that you are going to the place your great grandparents got married so many years ago. I had the honor to read how they met, so I almost feel like I was part of their love story ♥ So I will keep my eyes open for this anniversary post when the time comes!
