Visit with the Ocean Birds

This is my last Friday Story Time by Lia the Baby Blogger for the January Ultimate Blog Challenge! I’ve had such a good time writing my stories (with help from my GG mama) and I hope you have enjoyed reading them, especially my Visit with the Ocean Birds.

I have lived close to the beach since I was born and the other day was the first time I went to visit the ocean! Can you imagine living this close for 17 months and not ever seeing it?? I love birds so GG mama and papa took me to see the seagulls.

It’s the first time I’ve been really close to so many birds at one time but I wasn’t afraid! A few times I thought they were going to land on my head they flew so close to me.

Papa and I walked really close to the birds and they just sat there looking at us! Of course some of the were flying around and flapping their wings at me.

As I was watching them fly, one got really close and I said, “Papa that bird flew right over my head!”

I wasn’t sure if papa saw it so I told him, “See it, that one right over there!”

We had a great afternoon, I think we walked at least a mile and when we got back to the truck I was so tired. But it was exciting visiting with the ocean birds and I can’t wait to go back again soon!

So since I stole the last day of the Ultimate Blog Challenge for January, GG mama didn’t get a chance to give a rundown of her monthly stats but she did tell me they were looking good! I think she will let you all know the results in a few days. I can’t wait for the next Ultimate Blog Challenge so I can write more stories with GG mama. I’m sure by April I will have so many more exciting stories to write about!

    Lia what a fantastic story

  2. Awww, look at that precious Lia at the ocean! What a great way to end the January UBC than with a Lia post. She’s absolutely beautiful…and those boots! Now I want a pair! I’ve really enjoyed participating in the UBC journey with you and I look forward to the next one. I’ll be stopping by from time-to-time to share my weekly posts on the UBC…hope to see you there between now and April. I made sure I subscribed to your blog this time. I don’t know why I didn’t do this sooner! LOL Hugs from Aletha! 🙂

Lia loves boots Aletha! When she is home, it’s her furry topped boots or little suede boots. When she’s at GG mama and papa’s it’s cowboy boots or farm boots. First thing she does when she stays over is put her boots on over her jammie sleepers and goes outside with papa to check on the birdies. We are making so many memories with Lia and I love helping her with blogs. I’ll be sure to check your blogs between now and April!

How sweet! I was born near the ocean, and my Dad told me stories of how he or my Mom would take me on boardwalk walks. Sadly I was too young to remember but your granddaughter will have this post to look at one day.

I’m hoping to turn all Lia’s blogs into a book and give it to her when she turns 18 years old. She may not remember the things we did but the memories will be there Alana.

What a fun story!!! I love the expressions on Lia’s face. And that denim jacket! It is just adorable. I have truly enjoyed your blog this month, Martha. This blogging challenge is a lot of work but it is so much fun!!! And the best part is making new friends, both old and very young.

Thanks Alice! One thing Lia has it expressions on her face! It’s been fun and easy to come up with stories from the looks on her face! I’m having so much fun helping Lia “write” her stories. Yes it’s work but it’s fun work! Blog on Alice, I’ll be checking on you!
