  1. I love the idea for the ottoman. And the idea for windows was a good idea, too.

It’s more ideas for me and what I can’t get rid of Jeanine! I like the idea of making seed cups from newspaper and planting them! We’ll be getting ready for our garden soon so have to try that. The ottoman idea is cool! Thanks for visiting.

Wow, so many ideas, so little time.
I have used glass jars to store small parts, nails and screws.
The lids can be nailed to the beams in the attic or basement or garage, then the jars are just unscrewed from the lid to get the things that are inside. When clear plastic jars became available I started replacing the glass ones to reduce the problems when a glass one was dropped.
They can be mounted underneath a shelf too to leave the space on the shelf for other things like repurposed boxes.

    • Martha says:

OMG, you brought back memories of my grandfather’s workroom in our basement years ago Doug! He had the lids screwed to the beams for all his odds and ends! I may have to do this in our garage, the space under a shelf is wasted so why not utilize it! Thanks for the memory!

These are some of the best ways to upcycle old stuff. Enjoyed reading the ideas.

  4. Great ideas, Martha.
But,those tables- invite squirrels to husband away your bird feed. I prefer systems that keep the suburban rats at bay.

    • Martha says:

The squirrels take the left overs on the table top or ground Roy. We grease the poles so they can’t get up to the feeders. It’s fun to watch them try!
