Unicorn Night Light

Today is the last Friday Story Time by Lia for the October Ultimate Blog Challenge. I’ve had so much fun writing my stories. Today I’m sharing a Unicorn night light I made. I have a FB friend and we’ve been exchanging letters, birthday and Christmas cards and gifts for a few years now. She recently turned 8 years old and I know she likes doing craft projects just like me! Ma and I checked Amazon for something she would like and I saw this Unicorn night light craft kit for her birthday. I didn’t know but Ma ordered one for me too!

I was so excited and started working on my light right away. It had lots of little beads, stars and pink “snow” plus a few little unicorns. I started by adding the grass to the base then sprinkled the beads and pink snow around the bottom along with 2 little unicorns. Then I added the clouds to the center and added the pink unicorn to the top of the clouds. I sprinkled more beads and stars on the clouds then wrapped the mini lights around. It was a bit tricky to glue the clouds to the center, wrap the lights and put the cover on but I did it! Ma asked if she could help but I told her I wanted to do it by myself.

My Unicorn night light is finished and so pretty! My friend sent me a picture of her finished night light and it is super perfect! We didn’t know it but we both made them at the same time! I’m glad she liked her craft project, I know I did!

I like decorating cards with drawings, stickers and special little notes and this is the card I made for B. It’s fun having a friend far away that we can both send letters and surprises to! I hope you’ve enjoyed my Friday Story Time by Lia blogs this month, I’ll see you again next year in January!

If you have a kid that likes to do crafts, this would be a great Christmas present!
