Ultimate Blog Challenge Completed

Ultimate Blog Challenge Completed

Back in January I stumbled across a challenge to write a blog post everyday for the month. The challenge was for every quarterof the year; January, April, July, and October. I finished January and April and before I knew it, it was time for the July challenge. It was so much fun trying to come up with different topics, meeting other bloggers and reading and sharing their interesting blogs.  July seemed to start out slow but I wrote a blog everyday and even when my blog went down with server problems, I posted on my back up blog. With the Ultimate Blog Challenge completed for July, I’d like to thank everyone that read, commented and shared my blog posts. As with the other months of the challenge, my stats were amazingly high.

The first 15 days of the July challenge, my views increased by 946 and by the end of the month, they increased by a whopping 1355 views.  I ended the month with 2301 new views and that was a record month for me!

This is the blog I wrote about the first 15 days:                               http://themarthareview.com/halfway-through-the-challenge/

Besides having this challenge make me think outside of the box on coming up with interesting blog topics, I also learned many new blog tips and found new things on WordPress that I didn’t have a clue about.  One thing I found under Settings was a tab for WordPress Popular Posts. I can just click that and see my top posts.  I was amazed on the number of views on some of my blogs for July.

I started my blog on Christmas Day 2014 mainly to review products I received. Since then it has evolved into many other categories of lifestyles, family, money saving ideas, low cost, delicious and healthy meals plus other surprise posts. My granddaughter has her own category, Alex's Articles and the latest addition to my blog is my great granddaughter now has her category, Lia's Likings The Baby Blogger! Lia started blogger at 8 months old and she now has a Friday Story Time blog you won't want to miss! I welcome you to join the conversation, ask a question, give a suggestion or leave a comment on any blog post. I hope you enjoy Lia's Likings, she has some great posts that will make you smile!

I wasn’t able to complete the challenge due to going on vacation. My stats and blog has suffered for being not being able to publish a post in almost 3 weeks in July. Due to no internet. I am hoping to do better in August. As my best stat last month was lucky to hit 60.

Congrats on your great results Savvy Age! I love finding all the new things on WP, so great to still be able to learn! Thanks for stopping by.

  3. It’s not just the challenge, Martha. It’s the fact, that as a community, you shared others’ posts- and they shared yours.
That works all the time- because you get exposed to entirely different audiences.

That is so true Roy. I have learned and shared so many other blog posts. The chain is endless, I share, you share, others that we don’t know read them and then they share. I love how so many audiences get in the picture. Thanks for stopping by.

Thanks Priscilla! I so enjoyed not only writing my blogs, but reading and sharing all the other blogs out there. Thanks for stopping by!

  4. Well done on completing the challenge. I remember doing it before Paul and Danni took it over and did really enjoy it. I’ve decided not to follow on with it but am still in the group. Should really check that group out again! Great to see your results from the challenge.

Thanks Alexandria, I’m not even sure how I found out about the challenge in January. But it sure has been exciting reading, sharing and meeting new bloggers along with writing my adventures. Thanks for visiting!
