Tiny Beaded Necklaces

You know what today is, it’s Friday Story Time by Lia! I’m sharing with you about the tiny beaded necklaces I made. Right after the April Ultimate Blog Challenge was over Ma wrote about So Many Surprises!

One surprise was when I got a package in the mail and it was filled with all kinds of beads and string to make jewelry! My friend Brenda sent them to me and I was so excited when I saw all the different shapes and some even had letters on them! Just look at all these beads! There were even a few storage boxes so I organized the beads in them.

I was anxious to get started on making a necklace and since it was close to Mother’s Day I made a necklace for mommy! Ma and I worked on it in the garage so mommy wouldn’t see what we were doing. The first thing I did was find the letters I needed then I decided on what decorative beads I wanted to add. I knew I had to have butterflies on the necklace!

Bead by bead, I threaded them on the elastic necklace cord. Then I had to make sure I threaded the letter beads in the right order. The beads are tiny so I had to be careful when putting the cord through the little holes in the beads. Ma showed me a trick though! If the cord gets hard to go through the little holes, she showed me how to cut just a tiny bit off the end to make it thread smoother.

Look at mommy’s necklace, I love how it turned out! I had to try it on before I wrapped it to see how it looked. Mommy was so surprised when she opened her package and saw the tiny beaded necklace I made for her!

I had so much fun making mommy’s necklace that I wanted to make another one! Of course I decided to make one for my friend Judy. I haven’t given it to her yet but I know she will be so surprised!

When I got my surprise package with all the beads, there was also a necklace in the box from Brenda’s son Mark. He knew I love butterflies and flowers so that’s what he put on my surprise necklace! I love doing crafts and I was so happy to see all the beads Brenda sent me. I’ll be making lots of tiny beaded necklaces for so many of my friends! Thanks you again Brenda and Mark for my surprises!

I love the necklace you made for your mom. I am so happy you are enjoying all the beads. I love reading about all the joy you are getting from my gift. Love Mark

  2. Aren’t those beads fun? I have a refill kit, if you need more beads…gently used, more of the less popular letters left.
