Time for a Fashion Show

It’s Friday Story Time by Lia again and today’s Cornerstone Content Blog Challenge prompt is to write a story about me! Some of you already know that I’m 2 1/2 years old and I started blogging when I was about 8 months old! I enjoy sharing my stories with help from mama and I never know what I will be writing about until it happens! But today it’s time for a fashion show!

I’m so grown up now I can pick out what I plan to wear each day. But if I wake up early and pop is already outside, I just put my boots on over my jammies and head outside to help him!

But I can’t wear my jammies if we are going somewhere so I find the perfect outfit to wear. The cool thing is when mommy and I dress alike! Mommy says I’m her little mini-me!

You may remember back in December 2020 when a dear friend gifted me a variety of beautiful clothes. Mama called this a gift of love, friendship and generosity.  http://themarthareview.com/awesome-value-money-cant-buy/

But today it’s time for another fashion show with some beautiful dresses my neighbor Erica surprised me with, another gift of love! I love this peach dress with white lace and a pretty flower on the front and a bow on the back. It’s perfect for a spring day!

Look how beautiful this dress is with a white skirt with little embroidered flowers and a burgundy top with another huge flower at the waist! I’m all ready for a party!

I love twirling and this dress is perfect for me to twirl around and make the skirt dance with me! It even has little sparkles on the skirt that glistens while I twirl!

Have you heard the saying, “save the best for last?” I never did until mama told me that! So here I am saving my best dress for last!

This beautiful pink dress also has a flower on the waist and it has sparkles on the underskirt. The skirt is very full and when I twirl around, the skirt flies around and the sparkles shimmer in the sun! I love all my new dresses but this is my favorite!!

If you look while I’m twirling, you can see how the sun hits the sparkles and makes them shine like diamonds! This is the first slow motion video mama has ever taken! I feel like a Princess when I’m dancing and twirling in my beautiful dress!

But the fashion show isn’t over yet! The other day I got a surprise package in the mail from mommy’s and my friend in Indiana. She has a little girl a few years older than me so she sends me a surprise box of clothes. She also has a baby so when I outgrow my clothes, we send Sara a surprise box! Mama told me that’s what she did with her cousins when she was younger.

I’m ready for summer in my peach tank top and blue floral shorts! It was warm and sunny when I did my fashion show and I’m ready for nice weather!

There was even a pair of peach and white leggings! My friend I call Aunt Jeanine writes a blog about The Life in Color and one of her blogs was about finding the right color palette for you and mix and match your clothes. That’s what I did here, the same top goes with the shorts and my leggings! I think I found my color palette in pinks and peach! Oh look, there’s an airplane way up in the sky!

This is a very comfortable outfit for working outside. I can do my gardening and feed the birds and my pink shoes even matches it!

I picked this outfit out all by myself. There are so many different clothes that will match but I like the blue capris and the peach in them matches the shirt! How did I do matching everything? These capris are so comfortable while I’m sitting on the floor playing with my blocks!

Since the weather with so nice I decided to have a snack outside so I was waiting for mama to bring out some cookies and juice. See how this top matches the gray and peach leggings too? Between Tina, Erica and Sara I have so many new clothes to pick out each day now! I am such a lucky little girl to have wonderful friends!

I hope you enjoyed time for a fashion show and this story about me. If you will excuse me now, I have to go pick out my outfit to wear today! Maybe this will be perfect because I’m ready to change the world! See you again with another Friday Story Time by Lia!

  1. Lia! What a wonderful fashion show! I think the last shirt that says “I will change the world” is the best. You know what’s so cool about getting “gifts of love?” You can find something to be a gift a love to give to someone else. I have a feeling it would be your baking!

Lia says thank you Angela and yes she loves sharing her baking with others. She gets so excited when she hands a neighbor a package of cookies.

  2. Martha and Lia, what fun and joy to have all those new clothes! You are surrounded by kind and loving relatives and friends. And your entire life is filled with love! I have no doubt you will change the World!

Something about Lia’s dancing video Vidya, I can’t hep by smile every time I watch it! I do believe she will make a difference in the world.

  4. Awww! She is SO photogenic!!! And fashionable. Not to mention adorable and full of light and joy. And her Aunt Jeanine was right when she declared that Lia was a Warm, because those peaches look perfect on her. Thanks for mentioning me! She seems to be more of a light Warm, but her coloring could deepen. She’ll always be warm, but eventually, she may need deeper colors. I am heading in the other direction and becoming a slightly lighter Warm as I get older.

Awww thanks Jeanine! Lia is definitely a warm in more whys than one! It was so cute watching her pick out a top to go with the bottoms and I thought of you immediately!
