Throwback Thursday


Since today is Throwback Thursday I thought I would share a bit of humor. We had our kitchen remodeled in 2019 and today on this date we had our new stove delivered. It was a Samsung that I almost had to go back to school to learn how to operate it because it has so many settings. LOL
Fast forward six, yes SIX years later and I just started using the oven Air Fryer setting! I have used the dehydrator setting a few times and that’s great for flowers and dried apples. But the air fryer setting has always been overlooked until Lia came over last week and brought some cookies she made in an air fryer using the oven mode. All I heard was “air fryer” and I thought she said that’s how she baked the cookies, they were so soft.
So fast forward again to a few weeks ago when she was visiting from Indiana and we did so much baking.

Lia loves to make the Italian cookies so we made a double batch of them on air fryer setting and they were so delicious! They were puffy, soft and melt in your mouth kind of cookie.

She’s been down again for the past two weeks and this time we made a cake using the air fryer setting. It only takes about half the baking time as using the oven setting so we not only get to eat them sooner but it saves on electricity. I’m so happy I started using the air fryer setting before it was time to get a new oven. LOL My next venture will be to use it when I actually cook something in the oven.
I took Alex and Lia to the airport yesterday and counting down until July 29th when they will be back for another few weeks. I wonder what Lia will be working on her next trip down?
