Throw Back Thursday from 2016
We are only one day away from the end of January and that means the January Ultimate Blog Challenge is over! Where did the month go? Since the month ends on Friday, that means Lia gets to end the challenge with her Friday Story Time by Lia once again. So I’m turning my last blog of the month into Throw Back Thursday from 2016 as a great way to end this challenge month.
My very first Ultimate Blog Challenge started in January 2016 and I shared my grandmother’s delicious Chocolate Mayonnaise cake recipe on this day back then.
This is the most delicious, moist chocolate cake I’ve ever had. When I make this cake, it always brings back memories of my grandmother and I baking and me licking the beater. I still use grandma’s platter for the cake. I’m hoping when Lia gets older and has a family, she will have the same memories from her and I when she bakes.
I’m in the 10th year of participating in this challenge and I’ve completed them all so far, all 37 blogs! I want to thank all my blogger friends who helped make this possible by viewing, sharing and commenting on Lia’s and my blogs. I have met so many wonderful people through this challenge who have become more like my extended family.
Of course none of this would be possible without the one and only Paul T. the host of the UBC and who puts this challenge together every day four times a year. So my hat is off to you Paul, thank you so much!!
I always like to start and end the challenge month with poems I wrote a few years back. Yes we still have one day left but that will be a blog you won’t want to miss from Lia.
This is a design Lia created from Canva in September 2022, another fun fact from Throw Back Thursday. I have enjoyed this month’s challenge and again thank you all for the love you gave on Lia’s and my blog posts! Oh and I am so excited, I have been able to keep up and reply to all the comments left this month. Hope to see you all back in April, until then blog on!
