I have been friends with a wonderful blogger and Facebook friend for I don’t remember how long! We have been through many Ultimate Blog Challenges and so many of her blogs bring back memories especially when she shares pictures of Niagara Falls because we are originally from way upstate New York and would take the three hour drive to the falls often. I’m talking about Alice who shares her recently renamed blog Sun, Moon, Stars (Alice’s Grand Adventures). And what adventures Alice writes about but my favorites are all her beautiful artwork, painting and photographs!

A week ago Alice posted a picture of a bear she drew and painted and as soon as Lia saw it she grabbed her markers and paper. Alice inspired Lia to draw her interpretation of the adorable bear!

This is my friend Alice, fast forward to a few days ago when the suggested topic on the UBC was to invite someone else to interview them. Alice asked Lia and me if we would do the honors and interview her! We jumped at the chance and Lia was excited to come up with questions to ask Alice. This is how the interview went: https://sunmoonstarshine.com/villages-are-people-not-places/

After Lia finished her picture, I was reading posts and came across another picture that Alice painted. When Lia saw it she asked, “Is that from the ‘Bear Lady’? So now Lil’ Ms. Sunshine has given Alice the name of the Bear Lady! I love how all of the bears look so happy!

I enjoyed reading Alice’s answers to Lia’s and my questions and one of her replies was this is a boy bear and she hoped Lia could come up with a name!

Last night while Lia was thinking of names, after she got the silly ones out of the way, she said how about Sally? Don’t know where Sally came from but Lia continued thinking of a name. This morning we went to pick strawberries, Lia looked at the strawberries and said, “I know, we can name the bear “Berry” beause he has a red shirt and strawberries are red!” You could say the strawberry inspired Lia to come up with the bears name! We had the options of spelling it either Beary or Berry but since Lia got them name from a strawberry, we opted to go with Berry.

So how about Berry the Bear for the Bear Lady’s bear? Sounds good to me!

I love it!!! Berry the Bear!! And guess who is writing my blog post for me tomorrow? Could it be Berry the Bear? Or maybe one of Berry’s friends! Check it out tomorrow, when one of the Bears talks to Lia and everyone else, too!!!

Lia is so happy that you love Berry! She comes up with the most unique ways of doing and thinking of things Alice. It’s been so much fun watching Berry turn into a life like bear! Any now to have his own blogging stories, how cool!

Berry the Bear sounds lovely, and what a cool back story, too!

PS: a blogger friend of mine is writing a monthly blog post. It’s a fictional story about a young woman called Sally who keeps getting herself in trouble. So I’m kind of glad Alice’s bear is not called Sally 😉

What a lovely name! And a lucky bear! Lia needs to write about Berry’s adventures and the “Bear Lady” can illustrate! LOL

What a cute name and a cute story! Great job, Lia.
