The Winner Is
This past Saturday, January 8th, the suggested topic for the Ultimate Blog Challenge was to come up with a contest. Since I love taking photographs, I decided to take one of my photos and have my readers come up with a caption. And the winner is….
This is the photo that I used for my readers to come up a caption. Lia and her best little friend Carlos were sitting on the front bench just chatting and catching the sun when I snapped this. You can visit my blog and see all the suggestions here http://themarthareview.com/come-up-with-a-contest/ All the captions were great! In fact so great that I couldn’t pick one as the winner. So I put all the names in a hat and Rich drew a name. Thank you all for commenting on my post and giving such great caption ideas. I wish I could have 12 winners! But don’t worry, I’ll be having more contests and more winners soon.
So for my “come up with a caption contest”
THE WINNER IS: VIDYA with “Creating Memories”
This is her comment: When I see the photo, I see a sweet, wonderful friendship. that is going to last a long while… so maybe “Creating Memories” Be sure to visit Vidya’s blog where she shares her love for reading. https://www.ladyinreadwrites.com/
Congratulations Vidya on winning a one of a kind, signed painting from Lia! You can expect to see Lia’s creation in a few weeks as it takes time for her to come up with the perfect idea for her paintings. Please PM me your mailing address!
These are a few of Lia’s latest painting creations. She starts with a blank canvas and we never know what it will end up as. This last one was a painting she did for my sister. Can you see the bird flying over the tree? There is also a rainbow with the sun next to it and a row of flowers with some of the petals that have dropped off on the grass. Lia is known to many as lil Ms. Sunshine and her favorite color is yellow so she always has yellow in her paintings.
I had fun with this contest and Lia and I want to thank you all for joining in the fun and coming up with a caption for the photo. Actually the winner is…. Lia and me for having so many wonderful fans that read our blogs!
“Creating Memories”is certainly appropriate! Congratulations, Vidya!
Now we wait for Miss Lia to come home so we get to read about her new baking projects and other adventures! Most importantly we want Snwoball the dog to be happy again!
I thought the caption was perfect too Tamara. Lia is having a great time with her mommy and brother but pop and I are counting the days until their plane lands! I think sprinkle cookies or brownies will be needed when she gets home!
very interesting read! Love all the pictures. thanks for sharing
Thanks for visiting Hanna. Now Lia has to get busy on her painting for the winner!
Congratulations to Vidya! You will love the painting!
I’m excited to see what Lia will come with for this painting Dominique!
Glad for the winner and that you got a name!

Hi Martha, sorry I didn’t see this before, but what a wonderful contest and prize. I would have probably said “TIme With Friends”. Love following you both even if I had been busy for a few days and missed the contest. But thanks for sharing.
That would have been great too Samantha! I have different little contests from time to time, maybe you can catch the next one! Lia and Carlos have been friends their entire life.
WooHoo- Mazal tov Vidya! The LadyinRead does it again.
I thought your comment was very cute Roy. Like I said wish I could have had 12 winners!

Thank you Martha, and of course Rich for picking my name out of the hat!!!! A special huge thank you to Lia in advance.. I already know I am going to cherish Lia’s artwork and am scouting for the best location on my walls for it.
And thank you all for your congratulatory messages 🙂
Congratulations again Vidya! I think your caption is perfect for these two little precious ones.
What a great title for the photo.
Thanks Amanda, I tought so too!
I should learn to paint like Lia! Love those photos of Lia and her little friend. The ones of you and Lia on your ladders are just too cool. Two very photogenic gals!
I can’t paint Lily but watching Lia paint shows how creative we can be. I always wonder where her ideas come from. I just put together the “ladder” picture from the Canva program! Thanks for visiting!
