The Past Two Months

When one Ultimate Blog Challenge month ends, I immediately start counting the days for the next challenge! Sometimes the two months seem to drag by but others fly. I have been so busy since the July challenge ended that I didn’t have time to wonder when October would arrive! Unfortunatley I didn’t get to write as many blogs in the past two months that I hoped for but I did get a few good ones in! These are a few of my blogs I wrote while waiting for the October UBC!

August Blogs

I want to share some of the blogs you may have missed and yes the main attractive was Lia the baby blogger! Lia loves cheerios for snack so when I saw Blueberry Cheerios, I knew I had to have her give them a try. Lia did a review for Lia’s Likings and the blueberries won the taste test! http://themarthareview.com/blueberry-cheerios/

But the August blogs that kept me the busiest were the Twelve Day Countdowns to Lia’s 1st birthday! Each blog was about some of Lia’s highlights for each month since she was born to a year. I then took the 12 blogs and compiled them in one post so I can work on my book. I’m hoping to turn the blogs I wrote for Lia’s first year into a book and give it to her on her 18th birthday. Since I’m not really sure how to go about this, it’s a good thing I have lots of time! http://themarthareview.com/from-birth-to-a-year-old/

September Blogs

A Facebook friend of mine as been updating her blog and switched over to WordPress last month so I shared her interesting blog on mine. Babybear’s Freebies has some cool freebies plus some delicious recipes! She could use some followers! http://themarthareview.com/check-out-babybears-freebies-blog/

My steady readers know I love to share photos I’ve taken and Wordless Wednesday is my favorite day to turn some of my photos into stories. September was a bad weather month for South Carolina with numerous tornadoes and a hurricane coming through our area. A day after the devastation, hubby and I took a walk on the beach and the “sand paintings” that were created by the ocean waves were awesome! http://themarthareview.com/walk-the-beach-on-wordless-wednesday/

If you were in the July challenge, what have you been up to the past two months? I’m ready now to get back on track and pecking away at the keyboard for another 30 days!!

I started my blog on Christmas Day 2014 mainly to review products I received. Since then it has evolved into many other categories of lifestyles, family, money saving ideas, low cost, delicious and healthy meals plus other surprise posts. My granddaughter has her own category, Alex's Articles and the latest addition to my blog is my great granddaughter now has her category, Lia's Likings The Baby Blogger! Lia started blogger at 8 months old and she now has a Friday Story Time blog you won't want to miss! I welcome you to join the conversation, ask a question, give a suggestion or leave a comment on any blog post. I hope you enjoy Lia's Likings, she has some great posts that will make you smile!

I had to leave the April challenge due to a Facebook problem and I decided to sit out July, but I’m back. I haven’t seen blueberry Cheerios but we have pumpkin ones everywhere. Looking forward to more of your posts this month.

  2. Except your wordless Wednesdays are rarely wordless. (Which is fine by me- who wants to “read” a blog with no words.)

Thanks for the recap. And if we had the challenge EVERY month, I think people would burn out quickly! LOL

    Be Well.

Hi, Martha! The sand paintings are truly interesting. I am glad you’re all safe.

Lia is getting cuter each time I visit this blog. It must be wonderful to have grandchildren. I am afraid I cannot have one in the future. My children, ages 29 and 27, do not have plans of getting married. Hayy.

I was in awe when I saw how beautiful the sand paintings were from the waves. Don’t give up hope, your children may surprise you one day! Until then, I’ll share Lia with you in pictures and her blogs. She is such a joy to watch her grow, a little clone of her mommy.

  5. Lia looks like a little doll! She must be such a delight to you!

Thanks Corinne, she is the sweetest and always happy and smiling. Our granddaughter (her mommy) was the same way and Lia is her little mini-me.
