The End of October UBC and Happy Halloween

Can you believe we made it to the end of October UBC and Happy Halloween to all my readers! This is the completion of my 28th consecutive Ultimate Blog Challenge! I started in January 2016 and haven’t missed a challenge since my start. Lia started writing her Friday Story Time by Lia blogs continously on January 2020 and hasn’t missed a week during the challenge, in fact a few weeks she posted two blogs! Between Lia with her Friday Story Time by Lia and my blogs, we have written 861 blogs during the past 28 challenge months!

The other great thing about a challenge is it increases your blog stats. I wrote a blog in December 2022 about missing a milestone and my next one would be 250,000. Well I missed that one too, the views just kept piling up and it went over that amount without me even noticing! Looking back when I first started in January 2016, I had 76 views on my blog. At the end of this challenge I will have over 272,000 views! That’s quite a jump in six years and it’s all because of all those that visit, read, comment and share my blogs. On another good note, I’ve been able to reply to my comments in a timely manner and not let them stack up to where I have to make another challenge to complete them! Of course I have to give Lia credit for all her blogs! You may remember the TV show “Everyone Loves Raymond” well Lia has quite a following and just about everyone loves Lia!

I was happy to see so many of my “old faithful” bloggers return and just as excited to meet new bloggers to this challenge. I love a challenge of any kind and once I start I can’t give up. CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who participated in the October UBC and a BIG CONGRATULATIONS if you posted 31 blogs! Of course I can’t end today’s blog without give big kudos to our host, Paul and his Digital Maestro blog for all he does to make this challenge the best! The UBC FB page is even available on off challenge months so just because the challenge is over for a few months, keep on blogging! Thanks Paul, Lia and I will be back next next year for the January 2023 challenge!

It’s the end of the October UBC and Happy Halloween! Lia was Mirabel from the movie Encanto for her Halloween party at school and a pirate this weekend when she visited her grandparents.

For trick or treating around the neighborhood Lia was a dragonfly fairy! We had fun walking around the neighborhood and when we got back home this is how we organized all the candy! I think Lia has enough to last awhile!

As always I like to end the challenge with a poem I wrote a few years ago. Keep on blogging to be ready for the January Ultimate Blog Challenge!

Thanks for being with us for another Ultimate Blog Challenge! For me, although when I look back, I cannot believe that October is over, it did seem to be a challenging one for me!

Thanks for your dedication and coming back quarter after quarter! You are appreciated!

Looking back it was more of a challenge at the beginning of the month Paul but once I got the rhythm, it all fell into place. Lia and I are looking forward to January challenge! Thanks again for this great mind thinker!

  3. Beautifully said. Congratulations on your success. I love seeing your numbers and how this has worked for you. This is my second challenge and was hoping to do better than the 50% I did last time. You’ve given me hope. Thanks Martha

It starts slow but before you know it, the stats are way up there Lisa. I’m so glad I stumbled onto this challenge back in 2016, still can’t remember how I found it but I love the challenge and the bloggers!! Congrats to you on your 2nd challenge.

You and Lia inspire me everyday! Congrats on yet another UBC completed.

  6. Happy late Halloween! Matt and I were getting ready for a wedding, so we didn’t get to have a pizza party like we normally do.
