The Circle of Life Will Go On
Back in April 2017 I wrote a blog about the Circle of Life is like a rose. A rose starts as a bud, then blooms into a beautiful flower then slowly drops the petals and dies. A new rose appears and the process starts again.
This is just like people, we are born, we grow and thrive but when it’s time we die. When Rich passed away I didn’t know it but we will have a new great granddaughter born in our family this fall. One of my granddaughter’s is expecting so the circle of life will go on.
The life of the rose is over, but the beauty remains in our hearts as it does with our loved ones, they are both so beautiful right to the end. So while we are sad when we lose someone, we have the wonderful memories forever in our heart and a new life will appear with a precious little one to restart the circle of life just like the rose.
Beautiful roses, Martha. I applaud you for the way you live your life. Hugs.
Thanks Lily, sometimes I just have to put on my happy face and fool people.
So beautiful. I am grateful that you will have a new little great grandchild to hold and hug and upon whom to lavish your attention. Hugs for you. I am so sorry for your loss.
Thanks Alice, yes I’m excited for a new life to enter our family and I know Pop will be watching over the little one.
A lovely post, Martha. Sending Hugs your way.
Thanks Angie!
Martha, yes! The circle of life goes on. And you can look up and chat with Rich any time– I hope you do. What a great blessing that your young relative is now expecting. More proof that life cycles and cycles and cycles. Love and hugs–
When I wrote my circle of life blog I never thought of having to go through the circle without Rich. But our yard is filled with doves and cardinals so I know they are both signs that Rich is watching over us.
Congratulations. I just found out my niece is going to have a baby and she is due in November.
Oh how exciting Brenda! Nothing better than a sweet little one to snuggle with.
That’s a wonderful way of looking at it! And I’m so happy you are going to have a new great-granddaughter.
This will be great grandchild number 12 Jeanine!
I’m so sorry for your loss. Know I’m here if you ever want to chat. Congratulations on the Great Grandbaby. 🙂
Thanks Amanda, 59 years together has lots of beautiful memories.
