The Christmas Light Show

Today is Friday Story Time by Lia and it just so happens that the topic for the Cornerstone Content Blog Challenge today is content that tells a story. This is the Christmas Light Show story told through the eyes of a child. So Lia will get right to the to her story!

What an exciting time I had last night when mommy, pop, mama and I went to the Christmas light show at the North Myrtle Beach Sports Park. This show is so fun to see all the lights on display as pop drives around the park! Look at the Candy Factory and bicycle! They even had a puppy and house made of lights! My favorite movie is Finding Nemo and I found Nemo, Dory and jelly fish in lights!

These are a few more of the displays. Since pop was in the Army a long time ago mama took a picture of that and mama has an Angel collection and loved seeing the Angels in lights!

The part I liked the most was where we turned the radio on and the lit up decorations where flashing to the beat of the music! How cool is that? Mommy took this awesome video!

I loved when Pop drove through the park and we saw so many pretty lights! My eyes were looking this way than that way, there were so many!

The second part is visiting Santa’s Village! But the village is only open weekends so we’re going to try to find time to go again. But these are pictures of me last year at Santa’s Village!

I didn’t see Santa except in this picture of him in lights last year but there was an Elf! Mama walked up with me and was he BIG!!! But I sat next to him anyway and wasn’t afraid. Look how tiny I was a year ago!

We also went to the same light show in 2018 and I got to sit on Santa’s lap that year! I was only 4 months old so I’m glad mama has a picture so I can remember this memory when I get older.

They have so many beautiful displays of giant Christmas ornaments. Look at this big Christmas decoration all lite up!

This is me with pop close behind last year at the petting zoo they had and I heard they have one this year too. I got to pet and feed the goats last year.

We all had so much fun looking at the Christmas light show last night. This is my third year I’ve been here and I’ve loved it every time!

So after the light show pop had another surprise, we went to Calabash Creamery for ice cream! I wanted orange but they didn’t have any so I waited until I got home and had an orange creamsicle with pop. But look at mommy’s cinnamon ice cream in a waffle cone that I shared with her! I’m wearing my new Christmas face mask that my neighbor friend, Ms. Donna surprised me with.

This is the beautiful Christmas tree at Veeren’s Memorial Gardens in Little River that we passed on the way to get ice cream. I had such a fun evening and I hope you enjoyed riding along with us to see the Christmas light show!

Hoping we can have part 2 if we get to Santa’s workshop this year. We’ll have a bonus because we’ll get to see the light show again also. Glad you enjoyed the tour Alice.

Lia love the lights and her head was like a bobble head doll, not sure which way to look first. Thanks for going our the light show tour with us Kate.

  4. I remember being mesmerized by the lights on Long Island as a child. And, took my children to Manhattan for their light-up and a drive through with lights. Sure, we don’t celebrate Xmas, but creative lights are just perfect.

We lived in the country when I was growing up and I remember mom and dad loading up my sisters and me to drive around the neighborhoods to see the decorations Roy. Lia’s eyes lit up as bright as the lights last night.

I saw Mommy kissing Lia! Can we make that a song now?!?! Now my question has Lia seen Mommy kissing Santa Claus too (ie secretively Daddy)?!?!?! LOL! Light shows that you can drive through will be more popular this year than ever- I dread to think of the long line of cars on Long Island for these- will people be in a lot of trouble if they get out of their cars this year?!?!? What if they need to walk the dog after being in the car for 2-3 hours and only halfway through the show!??!?! Oh, so many questions come to mind….we don’t have the animals or Santa or didn’t at Jones Beach or anywhere else before that I am aware of…..Fun times- Merry Christmas and watch those kisses!! I smell a possible blog post out of that one!…… Will Lia find Mommy kissing Santa Claus in a blog post? And go to hug Rusty and go find Daddy to tell him!?!???! LOL! hhhmmmm……

Between Liberty and Alex with their kisses Pam! I love the expression on Lia’s face after Alex planted the kiss on her cheek. WOW that’s a long wait 2-3 hours. We’ll have to work on whether Lia will find mommy kissing Santa Claus!
