The Answers
One of my blogs last week I used the suggested UBC topic to Ask Me Anything. I asked my readers if they had a question for Lia or me and today we have the answers!
Dominique asked Lia a question: Lia, are you excited about starting kindergarten? What are you looking forward to most?
This is Lia on her first day of 4K, now in a few weeks she will start Kindergarten!
Lia’s reply: I excited because I will be going to a new school and my friends that live with me will be in the same school but they are in second grade. I’m also excited to see if my friends from 4K will be in my Kindergarten class. It will be so exciting to see what I will be learning too!
Jeanine ask Lia a question also! Lia is that a permanent tattoo on Lia’s arm? Have a great weekend!
Lia’s reply: No this is just a rub on tattoo. When I get a little anxious mommy tells me to calm down and just breathe. She found this rub on tattoo and it’s perfect. I’ve had it on for about a week and it’s still holding together. Maybe when I’m 18 I’ll have a real tattoo!
Tamara also had a question for Lia! Isn’t Lia just a ray of sunshine – I am curious what she is going to do in the near and further out future. Either way, the bond between the two of you will remain strong, that much is certain.
Lia’s and my reply: First to reply to your observance of Lia being a ray of sunshine. Indeed she is and one of my blogger friends, Brenda F. gave her the nickname of “Lil’ Ms. Sunshine” because she is also smiling! As for her future I asked if she had any plans as to what she wanted to do when she gets older. Her plans at 4 years old are wanting to be a nurse or doctor. I think she would be a great nurse because she has so much compassion for everyone! But my thought is maybe Lia will open a bakery since she loves to bake! Since she already has Lia’s Sunshine Bakery name, little labels for her cookie packages and it shares both her ray of sunshine and her love for baking! Since Lia and I have so many loves in common, maybe we could open the bakery together. That might be something to think about!
Kebba asked a question about, you guessed it, Lia also! You and Lia are interested in many of the same things I am! So tell me, (1) when you and Lia are both in the picture, is Snowball taking the picture, or who is? (2) When you are baking cookies, what is your favorite method to keep them from sticking?
Our reply: I knew we had a lot in common Kebba! As for when Lia and I are in the picture, Rich or sometimes mommy will take the picture. But it’s usually just a selfie from her or me! Lia is quite a camera buff too and loves to take both regular shots and selfies! As for our favorite method to keep cookies from sticking, we layer them in a container and add parchment paper between the layers. Many of her cookies don’t stick together, like the chocolate chip cookies and once the frosting and sprinkles firm up on her Italian cookies, they don’t stick together and stay super soft. These we just store in zip lock storage bags but of course cookies don’t last long around here to stick together!
Thank you all for the questions and comments and we both hope you have a fabulous week! Until next time…..BLOG ON!
What a special post! I just love the relationship you and Lia have, Martha. She will always carry that love with her. She and you are so very blessed. Have a wonderful Sunday! Cindy Rae
Thank you Cindy, just seeing Lia’s eyes light up when she sees me is so heartwarming. I’m sure this memories will stay with her and she can tell her children about these times.
Thank you for answering all of our questions!
I will keep my eyes open for Nurse Lia or the pastry chef at “Lil’ Ms. Sunshine’s Bakery”!
First things first though, have fun making new friends and learning at Kindergarten!
Thanks Tamara! The other day Lia decided she wants to be a hairstylist and have a bakery in her shop! LOL She is so excited to start Kindergarten.
Thank you for answering my question, Lia. I can’t wait to hear which of your 4K friends will be with you in class. And to hear about the new friends you will make and all the cool things you will learn!
Have a wonderful Sunday!
Lia is so excited to see her 4K friends and meet new ones also Dominique. She was given the Favorite Friend award at the end of the year!
I love your adventures with Lia! If I am ever blessed with a grandchild, I hope to be able to do all of these things with them. BTW – Lia could be a doctor or nurse and still be an amazing baker. My sister-in-law is a doctor and is our family baker. If you have that talent, no reason not to use it no matter what she decides to do.
Love these photos too! I take terrible selfies! – XO, Elisa
Lia will probably change her mind a dozen times but she everything so does, she gives her all Elisa. A bakery with healthy cookies in her doctor’s office, sounds good!
Oh my goodness, me and tearing up! I teared up at the thought of you and Lia starting a bakery together, and am starting to do it again just writing that. I love “just breathe” from mommy to Lia. All the answers were so sweet. Love you guys.
Brenda was tearing up too Jeanine and I hope you both had happy tears. I am so proud of everything that Lia does and we so enjoy doing our projects together. What memories we are making. Hugs and love to you from Lia and me.
Martha, thank you for sharing Lia with us. It always makes me smile reading about your adventures.
Lia is always smiling and willing to share it with others Angel. Thanks for visiting our blog.
Martha, I was wondering about the tattoo also! I hope Lia is having a great time in Ohio. Looking forward to what comes next with you two. <3
Yes, it’s the perfect saying if Lia gets a big anxious Kebba.
Alright Martha, i am crying now. Your whole family is just so sweet, loving and caring. You are such a wonderful inspiration to everyone.
Awww Brenda, I hope they were happy tears! The things that Lia and I do are so special and I’m hoping the memories stay with her as she gets older.
Great to learn more about you, Lia!
Lia says, thank you Angie for visiting!
