The Adventures of Tiny the Turtle
The Adventures of Tiny the Turtle is a story about a little wayward turtle who lost his way from his family.
As Lucy was on her way into church, she noticed a tiny turtle on the sidewalk. Afraid that someone might step on him, she gently picked the turtle up and moved it to a bed of rocks near a grassy area.
Lucy left church and the turtle was still on the rocks and still not moving so she carried him to the car and took him home. Lucy got a plastic tub, filled it with some water, a few rocks and twigs with leaves.
She carefully set him on a rock and there he sat, still not moving. Lucy decided to crumbled up some crackers and sprinkled them in the water and all of a sudden Tiny slide of the rock and started moving around in the water! He ate some crackers then hid under the branches. Lucy decided to name the turtle Tiny because of his size.
Day by day Tiny started swimming around more and more, poking his head out and not being afraid when Lucy went over to him. Tiny seemed so happy swimming around in his new home but Lucy was sad that he wasn’t with his family. So the decision was made to take Tiny to a little pond that was full of frogs and turtles.
Lucy put Tiny in a cup and headed to the nearby pond and it was like he knew he was going an another adventure, poking his head out and looking all around. When they got to the pond, Lucy said her good byes to Tiny and lowered the cup.
Tiny slowly crawled out, sat on the grass next to the pond and was looking all around just as a frog jumped in the water. He crawled closer to the edge of the water and it didn’t take long for Tiny to realize he was among friends and he jumped right in the water!
Tiny swam around the water for a few minutes as Lucy was watching the other turtles and frogs jumping around. Tiny seemed so happy and that made Lucy happy that he was back in a pond with other friends.
Every time Lucy passes by Tiny’s new pond, she waves and says hi to him, knowing he is happy once again and glad the adventures of Tiny the Turtle ended with Tiny being back with his friends.

AW! What a sweet story. I love hearing about people saving animals.
Thanks Brenda, I never planned to write a story about Tiny until my granddaughter mentioned it. I may not be noted as a great child’s book writer, but I enjoy scribbling things down. Thanks for stopping by!
Well, Tiny may be thrilled with his new hqbitat, but-dollars to donuts- it’s still separated from its family. At lest this wasn’t an ICE escapade.
Well his family may be around Roy, the pond was across from the church. But even if the critters aren’t his “blood” family, some children are better off with out them. I like your ICE escapade statement but that’s usually for construction companies. LOL Thanks for visiting.
