Terrific Tuesday for an almost Terrific Two Year Old
It’s hard to believe the July Ultimate Blog Challenge is almost to the end. It’s also hard to believe that Lia the Baby Blogger will be 2 years old on August 23rd! It has been so much fun sharing her blogs with you all but most of all I’m happy her smiles and loved she shares has brought so much happiness to others. I truly believe God sent Lia here to spread love, happiness, smiles and compassion. For only being on earth for two short years she has done all that and more.
Lia has brought so much joy to our family and she has a special gift of knowing when someone is hurting. Since very early in her life she would put her fingers on GGpapa’s forehead when he had a headache. As she got older she would go up to someone, rub their arm and say, “are you okay?” and share a big hug. She can sense when someone is not feeling well or sad. For the last Tuesday of the challenge I’m naming today Terrific Tuesday for an almost Terrific Two Year Old! This blog is a documentary of some exciting memories that Lia will look back on when she’s 18 years old.
All the blogs that Lia and I write are going to be made into a book and when she is 18 I will present it to her. She will have so many memories to go back and read, not only from the blogs but from all the wonderful comments left by our viewers. So thank you all for being a part of Lia’s memories! Rounding out today’s blog are a few videos and pictures that I hope will bring you more smiles or even out right laugh.
Because of the coronavirus Lia always wears her mask and hopes others take her direction and wears theirs also. I think this video takes tops for being the most hilarious. The other day Lia was the unofficial, unannounced quality control grape taste tester. Because she was wearing her mask, it was a little trickier than normal but she got the job done! I use to be a mystery shopper, maybe Lia will follow in my footsteps, she’s already got a good start.
Lia wears many hats and she has a great start to seeing what her career path may be when she grows up. Her first job was a Minky quality control inspector. She started this when she was only a few months old where she inspected the finished Minky blankets we created. Checking the seams, making sure the blankets were fluffy and the patterns went together was a tough job. Every now and then she would fall asleep on the job!
I think her favorite life experience is her baking and cooking. I’ve had people say she may become a famous chef! Lia makes the best cookies but she also makes delicious breads, cheese dips, salads, scrambled eggs and so much more! She’s always ready to share her creations with everyone! Her smiles of accomplishment tell it all.
Of course Lia loves to help me sew also. I’ve been sewing for all my life and Lia has started to follow in my footsteps. Her mommy was sewing at a young age too so way not start Lia off the same! She all ready sorts out fabrics for our Minky blankets, neatly putting them in a pile. When I’m ready to sew, Lia jumps on my lap and helps to sew the seams and pull the pins out before they get to the needle. Lia even stuffs the pillow all by herself and is so proud of the completed pillow she just made. She may become a great designer of window treatments and follow our footsteps of opening an interior decorating shop!
Lia has created the most beautiful garden with papa and she has the start to become a great gardener. Most of you have seen your garden transform from a patch of weeds to a little piece of heaven in our backyard. Lia’s Reflection Garden came to life when we added floating reflective butterflies that flutter in the breeze. We made them from recycling packing material!
Maybe Lia will become a world renowned landscaper! She loves helping papa in the yard. It’s not just simple mowing and edging but trimming and cleaning up all the mess! Look at her face, she does it with a smile. You could say she whistles while she works.
Her latest adventure is being a world traveler! Well maybe not quite a world traveler but she hiked about four miles the other day through some treacherous terrain, saw some wild critters, okay they were just little buggies but still and ended the hike with a big smile. Before her hike she found a pretty shell and we signed her name and date for her to hang on the wishing tree.
A few shells we found while on our hike along the Intercoastal Waterway were very special. The shells were in the shape of angels! Lia set them up in great gramma’s memory garden to go with all the other angels. I’m sure my mom is looking down and smiling at how carefully Lia is setting them up.
Lia loves the outdoors and sports is one of her favorite things. She loves playing baseball from catching ground balls to throwing them back to home plate. Lia has the game down, she sets up the ball, has great pitching form and she’s ready to bat! YAY, she caught it and running to home! Is she aiming for the women’s softball team?
Lia has the whole world in her hand when it comes to doing exciting things. Maybe she will be a world class soccer player, look at her kick! Or maybe she’ll be heading for the dance line of the Rockettes! Wherever Lia’s path leads her she will give it her all!
Do you see our little Italian interpreter, Lia has already learned to say a few words in Italian from papa and of course she has the talking hands too!
These are just a few of the hats that Lia wears, there are so many more from singer, counting to 20, knowing shapes from the basic to pentagon, hexagon and octagon, colors, and the alphabet. Her little brain is like a sponge and she takes everything in and retains it. We are all so proud of Princess Lia.
Lia grabbed papa’s finger from the first time he held her for a nap. Now when it’s nap time Lia crawls up on papa’s lap, still grabs his finger and drifts off to dreamland knowing that papa is right beside her.
Lia’s first two years have certainly been exciting for us to watch how much she has grown and excelled in so many things she does. When Lia turns 18 years old she will be presented with all the blogs from her early days, I hope she reads them, laughs and remembers some of the wonderful memories she made with GGpapa and GGmama. But mostly I hope Lia realizes how she has touched so many people with her smiles and love. They have said they learned from her, I hope the main thing they learn is how to share love and compassion just as Lia does. So here’s to you Princess Lia Faith on Terrific Tuesday for an almost Terrific Two Year Old! GGpapa and GGmama love you! You can check her blogs here but be ready to smile and a few may need a tissue alert! http://themarthareview.com/category/lias-likings-the-baby-blogger/
Lia always makes me smile. Her mask with the cows on it is…. so darned cute! My daughter has loved cows since she called them MOOS when she was Lia’s age! THANK YOU for the cheer today!
Aww glad Lia’s mask brought back memories! I received a package for review a year ago and never thought they would be used as they are.
Loved the world traveler for four miles…
We just kept walking and walking on trails we had no idea where they would bring us Roy. A great adventure and fun day for sure!

Lia is one of a kind for sure Alexandra. She’ll have lots of reading when she’s 18. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Lia, is a natural Reiki Healer. Someone how uses nature and their natural applies to help people and the Earth. She is a a lovely reflection of the big hearts that surround her. Much love to your whole Family. Happy early Birthday is my Little Sunshine Lia.
WOW I never thought of that Brenda. Lia loves it outside and always interested in the smallest bit of nature. Maybe that will be another hat for her to wear. She is a healer for sure.
Oh my goodness! She is just so adorable. And she does sound like a light and love bringer! Plus, I believe she is Warm Dominant. If I’m right, that would make her my youngest “woman” of color client. 🙂 It has been wonderful to watch her grow and I look forward to more of her story posts.
All the memories Lia is making at such a young age, I love it. I would say she is definitely a warm dominant person in so many ways Jeanine. Lia is a giver of love and compassion. I can’t imagine where this will take her down the road.
love, love, love this Lia post!! totally terrific post…and I know each and every one of us have enjoyed watching Lia grow from that little baby to 23 months old now.. 🙂
I’m so happy that Lia brings smiles to so many Vidya. At 2 she’s still a baby but when I see all she does and how she acts, she’s more like a little grown person at times. Love making memories with her.
What a fun blog post to read. Hi Lia!
Lia says hi Amanda and thanks for visiting her blogs! She is such a happy, bubbly little sweetheart!
