SUPER BUSY JULY

SUPER BUSY JULY

It’s already the end of the first week of July and we are in day 6 of the Ultimate Blog Challenge.  We are having a super busy July but I’m bound and determined to stay on track with the up hill challenge.  It seems like hubby and I won’t even have much time to breathe during July and I’ve had to resort to write everything down to keep on track.

Our granddaughter was in the hospital last Wednesday through Friday with a severe kidney infection which also gave her pre-labor contractions.  When she was discharged, the hospital didn’t give her a prescription for the antibiotics she was to take for 14 days.  Since her sweetie had to work Monday we picked her up for her OBGYN appointment because she was still in so much pain and that’s what grandparents do.  Her doctor wasn’t too pleased with the hospital having her go 3 days without meds but he called one in to Walmart.  We ran in to pickup the prescription and my hubby went out to bring the car to the front since Alex had could hardly walk.  I had a few bags so I scurried out to hand them to hubby only to by half way between the automatic door when it decided to shut with my going through! It caught my arm and the side of my hand which is now dented  LOL  But I’ll survive that, the main concern was to get Alex back home and comfortable.  Tuesday Rich had his pre-op appointment for his upcoming hip replacement and we had to be to the hospital at 7:00 AM.  Yesterday and today were so-called “normal” days as tomorrow should be too.  This Saturday, July 7th, Stevie’s parents are hosting a baby shower and I’m hoping the pain Alex is having will be bearable for her.

Next Tuesday July 10th, we have two major window treatment installations and then on Friday the 13th Alex has another ultra sound to check on the baby. She has 6 weeks to go, so praying all goes well.  We also have to stand by the phone all day as the surgeon’s office will call to give us a time for Rich’s third hip replacement on July 16th.  His last hip replacement was in March and he was home the day after surgery so if all goes as planned he will be home on July 17th.  Hopefully the rest of that week will go smooth, we will finish up on any last-minute baby things that need completing plus finish the scheduling plans for our daughter’s wedding coming up on August 18th.  Now we are up to Monday July 23rd for another window treatment installation and a normal week at work, standing by if baby has other plans.

Sunday July 29th is hubby’s and my 51st wedding anniversary (we just had our 50th, doesn’t seem like it’s been a year already) and my sweetie’s birthday is July 31st.  That’s also the end of the Ultimate Blog Challenge for July which I’m going to complete no matter what.    Maybe it’s a good thing July is a busy month because I’m excited for August 17th, the projected due date for Princess Lia Faith and August 18th for our daughter’s wedding!  Whew, that will be some weekend!  See why I have to write things down?

With everything going on this month, sometimes I feel like a chicken running around with my head cut off but I’m gonna git ‘er done!!!  So how is your month going so far and what does the rest of it look like?

Wow! Sounds like life is hopping for you guys this year. Kind of like what I went through a year or so ago. When it rains, sometimes it pours, except all your happenings are happy events. Take a deep breath aand enjoy.

It’s raining with happy events for sure Gay, just need to have my granddaughter get some relief from her kidney pain. Thanks for visiting and I’m deep breathing!!

That’s so busy! Hope everything goes well. As well as business projects, everything is happening in our garden. Fruit is ripening fast and has to be picked and stored or made into jam. The hot weather means taking the dog to the beach every day to keep cool – not a chore and I love it – but it is tiring when working as well. I’m not complaining though as the weather is fantastic.

Thanks Robertz! There is nothing better than fresh fruit and vegetables! We usually have a bang up garden however this spring was very wet, then too hot only to have a cold snap. So needless to say, the garden doesn’t look to healthy but we have lots of farmer’s markets in the area so that works! YUMMM, I love homemade jam, brings back memories when I would help my grandmother make it! Thanks for stopping by!

Wow Martha it sounds like July has started out with quite a bang! I hope your granddaughter is doing better today and is able to rest. Make sure to take care of you (your arm) – it doesn’t sound like you’ll be able to take any time off this month. Lots of great events happening this month. 51 years!!! That is amazing. Congrats and have a fabulous anniversary.
