Sturdy Adjustable Bath Seat

Safety in the tub or shower is most important, especially to the handicapped or elderly.  The sturdy adjustable bath seat doesn’t take up a lot of room when not in use.   I like the adjustable legs and with the rubber caps on the legs, it keeps the seat securely in the tub without slipping.

Assembly of this bench is quick and easy and with the thumb screws, no tools are needed. It’s self explanatory to put together, but it does come with detailed instructions.  I laid all the parts out and then attached the adjustable bottom part of the legs to the top part. The holes in the bottom of the seat lined up perfectly to the holes in the legs and it was easy to tighten down with the large thumb screws.   Adjusting the height, from 15″ to 21″ is as easy as a push the button in and pull the leg up or down, making sure the little button pops into the hole in the leg.

The legs don’t angle out, they are only about 13″ between them and it’s the perfect size for our tub, not like some that are so large they don’t. My mother-in-law is 98 years old and this takes so much worry off her when bathing. Since she’s unstable on her feet, she now can sit in comfort with this sturdy adjustable bath seat.  The round top is slightly over a foot in diameter, a good size and being a rough texture, she doesn’t slip around when sitting on it.

When not in use, the bath seat can be stored in the corner of the bathroom without taking up much room.  It can also be used as a seat while at the sink since it has adjustable height legs. I am pleased with the quality and the durability of the Sodynee bath seat that I received in exchange for my honest review plus it makes it safer when bathing.

  1. Great review. As I have reached the “Golden Years” I have found that I need just such a chair for safety. I will need to see if they ship to Mexico. Thanks for the pictures, they help a lot. I didn’t get all my articles posted in the last challenge because of a trip to the states in the middle of the challenge but I will be in the next one.
