STUMBLE
Today is day 6 of the Ultimate Blog Challenge and the suggest topic is to write about a time we stumbled. There are many different ways a person can STUMBLE whether it be tripping while walking or stumbling over something. But stumble can also be something in life that didn’t go as planned, if that’s the case we just have to get up, brush ourselves off and get back on track.
So I’m sitting here with a blank mind trying to come up with a STUMBLE. Last year it was much easier when I wrote my blog about my stumble since it was right after a hurricane that had gone through our town. You may want to read my blog from last year:

But now back to today’s STUMBLE. This may be hilarious to some because it takes practice to STUMBLE while walking UPSTAIRS! Yes, that’s exactly what I did and while I stumbled, I managed to break my toe. It wouldn’t have been as bad if it wasn’t the exact toe I broke previously when I STUMBLED walking downstairs. The only thing that is done with a broken toe is to tape it together with the toe next to the broken one. A broken toe can also hurt like a son-of-a-gun! One good thing about my broken toe, I was able to continue on our work schedule and didn’t skip a beat at stitching window treatments for our clients.
After a few weeks, the pain was gone, the tape was off and I was on the road to recovery, or so I thought. As I was walking towards the living room with my arms full, I STUMBLED again and knocked the SAME TOE into the corner leg of a table and broke it yet again! Okay now the saying goes “three strikes, your out” and this was the third time I broke the exact same toe!
What did I learn about my STUMBLE? I learned I need to slow down, not only in walking but in thinking. I’m always multi-tasking and thinking about what our next project or activity will be instead of watching where I’m going. I need to slow down on both my walking and thinking. This is my granddaughter, thinking before walking!
If nothing else, I hope you enjoyed reading about my STUMBLE and it gave you a good laugh! So have your stumbled?
