Stuffed Hamburgers
I was playing around with food the other day and came up with stuffed hamburgers. Instead of making a pattie then topping it with shredded cheese and onions I put it all together!
First I took a ball of hamburg then sprinkled it with shredded cheese and mixed it together. Next I added some delicious fried onions and rolled it around a bit more until the meat, cheese and onions were all mixed.
Just before it was fully cooked I added a piece of swiss cheese on top, covered the pan until the cheese melted. Can you tell I LOVE cheese?
I also recently got an air fryer to review and I’ve been having fun trying some new recipes. I’ve made fries in it and love how non-greasy their are plus they can still brown. But the other day I cooked the steak fries and with two minutes left to cook, I tossed some shredded cheese on the fries. The cheese melted and I had yummy cheesey fries!
Dinner was quick and easy to prepare and I loved the stuffed hamburger because every mouthful got cheese and onions!
Still playing around with the air fryer, I made a delicious brownie for dessert! I still need to perfect the time and temperature but it’s fun playing with it. Stay tuned for my mouth watering air fried salmon recipe coming soon!
looks great
They were delicious Chantel and of course quick and easy!
Looks Yummy. Did you accidentally came up with this ? I got the feeling like that. Wish I had the magic to accidentally come up with stuff like this
They were Ivy! I guess you could say it was accidentally because as I was making the patties I had the onions fried and it just came to me about adding the cheese followed by the onions. Of course once I made them, I started thinking of other ingredients I could add. So next time I’ve already planned to add crumbled bacon with the cheese and onions. Of course raw onions would work too and then add in some ketchup in the mix and have a mini meatloaf!
One of our local supermarkets sells raw stuffed hamburger patties. As you show, no reason to buy them pre made. It’s such a great idea because you can stuff them with so many things. Fried onions? Perfect. Cheese? So many to choose from!
I wonder how much they charge at the supermarket Alana. The ground beef was on sale for $2.99 per pound plus there was an extra $1.50 off coupon on the package. I’m last of the big spenders when I go shopping. LOL
I would never use cheese- but I could add onions, carrots, and beets to the chopped meat and prepare a hamburger. Of course, I haven’t eaten a beef-based burger in a decade or so, but, I could!
Hmmm, now you got me thinking, I love beets wonder how they would be stuffed in the burger. You know I’m going to experiment with other “stuffing” ideas!
hmm.. .beets! wonder how the hamburger would taste like. isn’t it sweeter, Roy?
I was wondering the same thing Bing, I do love beets!
Wow! That looks great. I am a no-meat person. But the recipe is really tempting with that extra cheese
Do you eat chicken Shrilekha? This would probably be very tasty with ground chicken also!
I need more burgers in my life…and brownies. I’ve thought about getting an air fryer but am afraid I’d not use it often.
LOL everyone needs brownies Jean! I love my air fryer and before I got it, I thought it was mainly for french fries but there are so many recipes that you can use! I’ll be sharing more so you just may change your mind!
You have to warn the reader to not read while hungry or Tead at own risk if hungry
Kidding I enjoyed your post but now I need to have a burger and fries
Regina
Oh darn, I forgot to add the warning clause Regina! For food I need to add that clause and for other blogs I need to add the tissue clause for my tear-jerker posts! Thanks for stopping by!
You’re very innovative, Martha. Everything looks and sounds delicious. The stuff hamburger sounds easy to do. Will try it out for lunch soon.
If you look through my recipes, you will notice most are quick, easy, healthy and inexpensive! I love planning meals for a few dollars Lily!
I’m drooling! I’m going to give these a try for either lunch or dinner this weekend!
There are so many interesting ways to prepare meals and I’m coming up with a bunch Trish! My granddaughter and me have to get on the ball with our recipe book!
I am salivating at the thought of burgers and fries. I prepare it a little differently. I mix it all before they’re fried, sort of like doing meatballs.
*burp*
I’ve added raw onions many times Bing but since I was frying up onions to top the burgers, the notion came to me to add them inside!
Looks so yummy. I love hamburgers.
These were so good Amanda! I think I’m going to add bacon to them next time.
