Spiritual Sunday Sunset

Last night after church as I looked in my rearview mirror there was the most gorgeous Spiritual Sunday sunset. I snapped a picture, although not that great, of the beauty from heaven.

My “church Angels” had invited me over for dinner and that’s when I saw the sunset. When I got to their house, this is the view from their back yard. When I see sunrises and sunsets, it reminds me of the beauty that God sends down to us.

But he also sent me my church Angels over a year ago when I was in a dark place and felt my world was ending. After church they invite me to go with them for pizza or dinner and won’t take no for an answer. They even included me in their family Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas Eve buffet.

Last night they invited me over for a delicious spaghetti dinner. I knew Dan’s Green Bay Packers football team was playing so I stopped and picked up some cupcakes for a “tailgate party”. They just happened to be frosted in green with little footballs on top. After dinner I stayed until half time, we had the cupcakes and I headed home.

It’s days like this that make me so thankful for my friends who have become family. I always tell my “kids” to be good, they laugh and say, “Okay mom”. I thank God daily for al the riches he has blessed me with in finding such a loving, caring, and compassionate couple.

  1. I love this story and your awareness of God’s beauty around us. Yes, there are angels in this world and you are so fortunate to have found yours. A church should be like this for everyone!

It’s said people show up when someone most needs them and that’s exactly how I met Marci and Dan. My earth angels are gifts from God for sure Larada.

What nice friends you made! I understand the Green Bay Packers lost narrowly and were eliminated. Beautiful sunset!

Yes unfortunately Dan was a bit bummed out but we still had a great evening Tamara. And I can’t even figure out football! LOL Just being with Marcia and Dan is great though.
