Spiritual Sunday Angel

Last year or maybe the previous year, I started writing my Sunday blogs and calling them Spiritual Sunday. Sometimes I would write about a passage the Priest talked about at Mass, other times it would be about meditation, special messages or just peace and songs. Today I’m sharing my Spiritual Sunday Angel.

A few days before Christmas I drove up to Cherokee like I always to do remember Rich and the anniversary of we met. Christmas day 2025 would have been 60 years when we first met on a blind day. Every time I go up I stop of our favorite spot on the river, which just happens to be mile marker 25, and drop roses in the river in memory of Rich. As I was sitting on the edge of the river, it brought me peace knowing that I was in our favorite spot and I could feel Rich looking over me.

I headed down the beautiful road through the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and just started snapped pictures through my sunroof. It’s a narrow road with the tall tree branches fanning over the road. Most of the pictures looked like this… still, quiet and heavenly.

But when went back and looked through all the pictures I took, this one made me take a double look. I saw a beautiful angel form in the clouds, clouds that weren’t in any of the other pictures. I get many signs from Rich whether it be from cardinals or butterflies but since it’s too cold for butterflies, Rich sent me an angel instead. Some say this could also be a butterfly image but either way, I know Rich is watching over us and this is my Spiritual Sunday Angel.
