It’s Friday Story Time by Lia again and do I have something new to share with you. Ma let me borrow her phone and I walked around the yard looking for special pictures to take. I took these pictures all by myself!

A few weeks ago I planted wild flower seeds in three different areas of our backyard. They are all growing good and I planted one package that attracts butterflies in an old rusty wheelbarrow our neighbor was going to throw away. We don’t have flowers on these yet but the little plants are growing!

The first little flower I saw was this yellow flower growing in the grass. It’s either a wild flower seed that got carried by the wind or maybe just a weed but it’s still a flower and I love yellow! I carefully held the phone and got ready to take a picture. I have to remember to keep my fingers off the back of the phone or I’ll be taking a picture of my fingers! The first picture I took of this little yellow flower was blurry but ma said to hold the phone still and try again. That time the flower was so clear!

This is one of our lavender plants we planted last fall and they are getting little flowers on them this year. Lavender smells so pretty too.

When we left for our mountain trip last Monday I had one little yellow rose bud on the bush in my garden. When I was checking the gardens yesterday when we returned home I was excited to see two little buds! I carefully held the phone still and got a clear picture of both rose buds! I can’t wait until the open up into beautiful blooming roses.

Look at my pepper plant, it’s full of little pepper blossoms! Once I have peppers, I want to surprise pop and make him a stuffed pepper for dinner!

Do you know what this is? Neither do ma or pop! They think it’s a weed since they didn’t plant it or maybe a bird dropped a berry and it grew from that. I will watch it grow and see if the tiny white flowers open up any bigger.

These are my favorite pictures! I took a picture of a tiny dandelion that had gone to seed. Then I remembered ma showed me how to change the camera settings for close-ups. I took a few different pictures real close. I have to get better at centering my pictures but ma said they are all beautiful and I did a great job!

I had fun looking for special pictures to take and I will be taking more when my wild flowers bloom. I hope you enjoyed seeing some of my pictures I took all by myself for Friday Story Time by Lia.

  1. I can see that she is very interested in nature! What lovely pictures. She needs her own camera soon once she is able to take care of it LOL. My 18-year-old is killing phones on the regular. I guess it’s a gamble at any age, right? Thank you for sharing!

Lia loves nature Dominique! She would like in her garden if she could. LOL She has a small digital camera with SD card but it’s too small to see what she’s shooting. We pass down phones and she has a Galaxy Note 3 for her games, I’ll have to check out the camera for her. Lia is good about taking care of things so we may have to check into a better camera for her, she loves taking pictures!

Thanks Cathy, Lia checks her flowers every morning! I’m hoping the wild flowers will bloom soon and you can be sure Lia will take a picture of her yellow roses when they bloom.

  3. Very nice pictures, colorful flowers, and beautiful garden. Thank you for sharing, Lia!

Lia says, “Thank you Jaime.” She loves the outdoors, nature, flowers, butterflies and we can’t wait for her wildflowers to bloom so more butterflies well come around.
