Sons of Thunder
I have found a great online streaming platform that has a variety of faith based family movies that don’t use foul language so they are great to watch with your family. Movies on Pure Flix can be accessed on your Smart TV, mobile phones, web browsers, and even gaming consoles. Today I’m reviewing Sons of Thunder.
Part 2, Series 1 of Sons of Thunder has seven episodes. The main character is Simon, a combat veteran who was a member of a motorcycle gang but switched gears and to make amends for his sins he rode his motorcycle across country, picking up odd jobs and helping those that God puts in his path.
In Episode 1, Simon helped rescue a young man that was being kidnapped by the cartel. After being thankful to Simon, the father gave him a job on their ranch in a Texas border town. Both were checking fences when they saw a young Mexican women running for her life. The movie was moving, kept me on the edge of my seat and had a totally different ending than I thought it would. Keep the faith and God will be with us.
Simon carries a bible with him and seems drawn to people who need help or are in trouble. In another episode he meets a father in law and son in law who are at odds. When a dispute arises, Simon has flashbacks of when he was in the motorcycle gang and knew God was directing him to do good with those he met. The message that he carries is it’s never to late to change and Simon helps many people do that in Sons of Thunder.

Each episode shares a lesson showing how prayer and God will help with answers to situations that could otherwise turn out violent.
The episodes are easy to follow and they are commercial free. I’m excited for Sons of Thunder: Redemption to launch on Pure Flix on January 13th. https://media.pureflix.com/sons-of-thunder-redemption
After watching the first few episodes of Sons of Thunder I was hooked on the series and now looking forward for the new launch tomorrow.

The sons of thunder sound like an interesting series. No foul language is definitely a rareity!
Yes it is interesting Amrita. None of the movies on Pure Flix have foul language, that’s a plus for me too!
That sounds like an interesting series. Including bikers give it a cool twist.
I like how it’s easy to follow, even when he has the flashbacks and there is a message in each episode. Thanks for visiting Dominique.
Sounds interesting. I’ll check it out.
I’m excited to see the next series Roy. It’s coming out tomorrow.
Martha, thanks for the recommendation of PureFlix and Sons of Thunder. I am amazed at all the swearing in public and online these days. How refreshing that this channel doesn’t need it. No one has ever complained about my not swearing!
That is the main reason I like Pure Flix Kebba, all shows have clean language. I cringe everytime I hear foul language or even see posts using it. Guess you and I are “old school” and I foul my parents and grandparents lead, never heard a bad word out of their mouths.
I haven’t seen that series, and to be honest, I avoid shows with suspense or violent. But I have watched a couple of movies on that platform at a friend’s house and they were really good. Heartwarming! I also like shows and movies you can watch with family, so I am glad you have found that streaming service.
Yes Jeanine, there are many other good movies on Pure Flix. I like suspense to some extent and these shows are only half hour so I don’t hold my breath long.
Great review. Will you be doing more of these?
I really enjoy Pure Flix Amanda mainly because of the “clean” language. I will be sharing the new Remeption eposide soon!
We subscribed to Pureflix when it first started and I used it for homeschool. I guess it’s time to check it out again!
I’m very pleased with the shows I’ve watched so far Angie. Yes there is some violence but no bad language!
I watch movies on here as well and like that I don’t have to worry if Charlie wants to watch the movie with me. As for this one I haven’t heard of it but being in a Gang and riding a Motorcycle I know David would like it and I think Charlie to who loves anything to do with the Lord.
I love this platform Glenda and I think David and Charlie would enjoy these episodes. There is mild violence but nothing major and all clean language is what I like about it!
