Song Stuck in your Head
Song Stuck in your Head
Did you ever get a song stuck in your head and you either sing, whistle or hum it all day? Since this is today’s blog challenge topic it reminded me of a few weeks ago when hubby and I were back in upstate New York for my 50th high school reunion.
We were walking into Price Chopper and they had the music playing through the outside speakers. As soon as I heard the song, I started singing along with it! As we entered the store, I young women approached me and mentioned how she also started singing the song when she heard it! This was about a month ago and I’m still whistling that song! Now I’m not whistling Dixie, I’m whistling and singing Passionate Kisses sung by Mary Chapin Carpenter.
As soon as my hubby heard the song, it brought back memories for him as well as we both enjoyed it from the time it was first released in January 1993.
The song “Passionate Kisses” was written and recorded by singer Lucinda Williams in 1988 and it was recorded by the famous Mary Chapin Carpenter in 1992 for her album “Come On Come”. Video provided to YouTube by Sony Music Entertainment
Since it’s Throwback Thursday, I’m sharing my blog I wrote last year about my FAVORITE SONG that was sung at our wedding on July 29, 1967. We went back home to renew our vows at the same church we were married in and the organist played our favorite song for our 50th wedding anniversary which we celebrated on July 29, 2017. That song will never leave my head!
Delightful post! Enjoyed playing the song, and your story with your pictures! May you share passionate kisses abundantly for many more years!
Thanks Uke, that’s just what hubby and I plan to do! Glad you enjoyed the song!
I was trying to do a new topical song parody this morning and found the song I parodied a few weeks ago stuck in my head–The Country Gentlemen’s “Fox on the Run.”
The original song isn’t even on my top 100 list, though it does have a catchy tune.
It interesting to see how songs pop in our heads and then stick in our minds. I’m still whistling Passionate Kisses. Thanks for visiting Priscilla.
