Song of the Day 8
Song about School
I knew exactly what my song of the Day 8 would be when I read the daily prompt of Song about School. It’s another oldie but hey, I’m an oldie!
It was a no-brainer to pick Charlie Brown by the Coasters for my song about school. The Coasters were an American rhythm and blues/rock and roll vocal group who had a variety of hits in the late 1950s. Charlie Brown single was recorded in 1959 and it was on The Coasters’ Greatest Hits album. I thought this picture of my high school was perfect for this blog! I had my 50th high school reunion in 2017 and what a difference in the school since the addition was larger than the size of our original school!
Listening to the lyrics of Charlie Brown are easy to picture someone walking through the hall goofing around and walking in the classroom cool and slow after getting there late.
I can picture Charlie tossing dice in the boy’s gym yelling “seven come eleven” and writing on the walls then wondering why everyone is always picking on him. Listen to the song and it might bring back memories of when you were in school! (Not that any of us would do things like this! LOL)

Hadn’t heard this one before.. so thank you for the fun song; and loved Lia’s video
I thought Lia’s video was the next best thing to strolling through the halls at high school Vidya!
I like the song called “Who let the dogs out” by Baha Men. My old elementary and middle school’s mascot was the Bulldogs. We would play this song at the dances.
OMG now you have me singing that song! I love it too Amanda!
Wow what a fantastic blog
The only thing I wanted to do at school was get it over so I could see you Rich!
