I love feeding our backyard feathered friends but bird feeders are so expensive. When I saw the Rapps bird feeder soda bottle feeder, I didn’t only see a bird feeder but it’s also a great way to recycle. The kit comes with two feeders that you screw on a soda bottle.

It’s easy to attach the hanger to the top of the bottle by punching two holes opposite each other.

I had no problem feeling the two liter bottle with bird seed using the large funnel that is included. The base is a durable plastic and quite sturdy. I did have a problem with our nightly raccoon as he climbed up and unhooked the bottle from the tree. I then made a new holder from wire that went all the way through the bottle and haven’t had any more problems with it being knocked down.

With a two liter bottle filled with bird seed, it lasts longer than regular bird feeders. The base is small but perfect for our little finches and wrens.

The Rapps Bird Feeder kit would make a great gift by adding a bag a bird seed or it is also makes a fun project with the kids or grandchildren. I’m very pleased with the quality of the feeder and the ease of putting it together. I received this product in exchange for my honest review.
