So Inspired By My Grandson

cjupthemountainMy oldest grandson is 27 years old, but since he was a little tyke, I knew he would make it to the top and be successful.   CJ was always inquisitive, competitive and of course so lovable. With his great attitude, there was no stopping him to climb that mountain to be what he wanted to be and go where he wanted to go.  I want to share a part of his blog on his daily routine.

Since the new year is here, I need to get back in a routine and since CJ is so organized in his daily routine, I’m going to follow some of his great words of wisdom. Among the many things he does from modeling, exercise and fitness, healthy eating habits, to being co-founder of ThriveMenu.com and writing a blog, he always has time to start his morning out right.

One of the posts in his blog is about the five morning rituals you need to channel your energy and focus throughout the day.

The first thing he does is get to bed at a reasonable time so he can wake at 5:00 AM and checks his circadian rhythms. Next he brushes and flosses his teeth with a natural toothpaste. CJ uses all natural products and the first drink of the morning is a shot of unfiltered Apple cider vinegar. The benefits are to detox and give you clear skin. He immediately follows that with 30 ounces of hot green tea with fresher lemon. While sipping his tea, he listens to peaceful music, meditates and gives thanks on God and the Universe, breathing slow and deep for 20 minutes.

He also keeps a daily journal and before going to sleep he lists three things he is grateful for. In the morning he writes again, usually filling 3 pages per day. He writes anything from his feelings, goals, accomplishments and gratitude.

This is a picture of one of the journals CJ uses.  It has a genuine leather cover with homemade paper that even has pressed flower petals embedded in them.  If you are interested in this journal, here is a link to read more about it:

I am so proud of all the accomplishments that my grandson has done and all his aspirations and dreams he has followed and made come true. But even though he is so busy traveling the world and fulfilling his dreams, he has never forgotten his roots and family.  To get a text message or call just to say, “Hi gram and pop’s, how’s your day going?” means the world to me.

cjthinkingCJ is always thinking on what is going to be his next challenge.

Check out his blog, it’s amazing to see all he is doing.   http://thrive.menu/blog/category/blog-posts/
