Smores Firepit
For day 17 of the Cornerstone Content blog Challenge, I’m sharing my user experience with our new smores firepit. This is another item I received for review so I thought it would be fun to show you how we turned it into fun evening around the fire.
This was very easy to assemble and everything fit perfectly. It even has a vinyl cover to put over it after it’s totally cold. I like that it comes with a screen cover to keep sparks from jumping out and it has a wide platform around the edges to put drinks on.
As soon as it started getting dusk, Rich added some charcoal to the base of the firepit and let the coals turn white so we could roast marshmallows. You can also use wood or even paper logs. Alex made gourmet smores with a pretzel and Rolo caramel candy! Nothing like being creative with your smores.
Since we didn’t have any graham crackers I had to be creative also. I roasted my marshmallow and stuck it between two pieces of Hershey bars!
Lia was in charge of the marshmallows, handing them to us when we were ready to roast more and eating them while she was waiting. She even roasted her own, very carefully of course.
It was a great evening with Alex, Lia, Rich and I sitting around our new firepit roasting marshmallows. I’m glad I received this firepit, it’s great to sit around on a chilly night with hot cocoa and curled up with a book.

Smores1 A girl scout thing. (I only learned that later in life.) When my kids were little, we would get kosher marshmallows, turn on the BBQ, and let them roast the cracker/chocolate/marshamallow to their hearts’ content.
Oh yes, I was a Girl Scout and we always had smores around the campfire Roy. I even had a countertop smores burner that works good in a pinch.
Martha, you have reminded me of the week when I first learned about s’mores. I was at Girl Scouts camp. I couldn’t believe they were offering us sugary snacks– and at much as we would like! We roasted the marshmallows over a fire, outside. Yet today, there’s a countertop appliance that makes the s’mores! Thanks for the memories.
While we were roasting our marshmallows that’s exactly what came to mind Kebba. I was a Girl Scout and we would sit around the campfire stuffing ourselves with roasted marshmallows as we sang songs. I have ond of the countertop smore makers, got it to review!

I get some great review items Jeanine and this was one of the fun ones! Lia loved roasting the marshmallows and it was great to have the family sitting around the fire.
Wow, what fun. I am so happy that Lia had fun while she roasted her smores. She certainly did a great job.
It was a fun evening for all Alice. Lia loves it outdoors and she enjoyed making smores!
