Smile and Have a Positive Day
Smile and Have a Positive Day
This blog is not about anything in particular, it’s just to block out negativity and bring joy to others, so smile and have a positive day. The next three photos are so special to me, all these happenings were within the passed 2 weeks. How much happiness can one gramma have!
This photograph makes me smile, it’s my 17 year old grandson seeing his 20 year old sister for the first time in over a year. What a happy weekend we all had, celebrating Zachary’s high school graduation.
This is definitely a photograph that will bring a big smile also. My 25 year old granddaughter and her hubby are excepting a baby boy in October! Only four months to go until I can start spoiling another Great Grandbaby!
And last but not least, this is the beginning of a storybook wedding! My 28 year old grandson, got down on his knee to propose to his princess. I can’t wait to see Prince Charming and the Princess at their wedding in August.
Have you every heard of purple peppers?
It’s a beautiful, sunny day in the south and I just picked our first 2 peppers from out garden! I love fresh vegetables and it will be exciting to see how the purple pepper tastes. I’ve never heard of them until hubby and I were getting plants early in the spring. I just cut it and while it’s a very dark purple on the outside, it’s green on the inside and smells very sweet!
How about some beautiful flowers? My hubby has a green thumb for sure when it comes to his gardening. His roses are absolutely stunning! I love taking photos of the same rose each day and make a time lapse collage.
This is a time lapse collage I did last year of one of our beautiful roses. This one is so unique. While starting to bud, it’s a deep pink, but once it starts to open, it has yellow on the petals. Once its’ in full bloom, its so gorgeous with a light pink, edged in a darker pink, with a slight yellow center. This is one of my favorite roses!
Talk about beautiful flowers, this hibiscus is huge! The bush is loaded with blooms but has lots more buds to turn into even more lovely flowers.
I love watching our fine feathered friends in the back yard. I captured this photo while mama and papa Bluebird were setting up housekeeping. Mama is looking right at me as she gets ready to build the nest. Just watching the birds, listening to them sing and fly around from bird feeder to bird feeder is so much fun.
I hope my blog has given you a few smiles for the day. Wouldn’t it be great if we could all have positive and kind thoughts every so often. I took this last photograph while in the garden at the Cathedral in Charleston, South Carolina. It is such a peaceful place to set and reflect. May you all have a wonderful day, full of positive thoughts.
Yes, I have heard of and had purple peppers! They are not sweet like the red and yellow. Reminds me more tart like the orange but with its own unique taste. great for salads.
I had never heard of them Sandy. But they looked interesting so we tried one plant. Before I cooked them, it had a sweet, unique smell like you mentioned. Stir frying all together, the red, purple and green tasted great. I’ll try the next one in a salad. Thanks for stopping by.
The birds, flowers and peppers spin positive for me.
My goal is to write at least one totally positive blog every week or two. Thanks Sandy!
