Silly Saturday Skeleton

Last January we had a snowstorm in South Carolina. Now when it snows down here, everything stops! I remember the blizzards we had in upstate New York and we still had school! But anyway Alex and Lia were very excited to see the snow and they built a snowman in the front yard, the exact place Alex and Zac built one back in the early 2000’s.

As the snow melted Mr. Snowman was on his way out when I got an idea from a friend. I bought a skeleton from Amazon late in the evening and it was on the “deliver today” list. The skeleton arrived 6AM the next morning! By now Mr. Snowman was not looking to good so I had to hurry before the sun came out. I covered the skeleton with some of the fallen snow from Mr. Snowman and by the time the cars started driving by Mr. Snowman had lost his head and he was in a heap on the ground with just his “bones” showing. It was so funny to see the cars stop and visit with Mr. Bones.

So now I had this skeleton and I’d probably never use it again….or will I?

Skeleton, little bistro set by the door and it’s almost Halloween, hmmmm! So I set up a hauntingly display of Mr. Bones, Miss Silly Witch and of course we needed a Ghost to complete the dinner party. I had some orange beads on a string from Lia’s holiday tree and put them in a vase. So my Halloween decorations with my Silly Saturday Skeleton once again made quite a hit.

I’m having a much better day today than I had yesterday, I wonder if it’s because it’s Silly Saturday. I went to a few garage sales this morning and found a lighthouse candle and little Alabama bell for my daughter. She loves both light house and Alabama! Then I found this adorable butterfly dish and a metal butterfly. I’m thinking of painting this blue on one side and yellow on the other to represent those butterflies that visit me. Hope you all have a fantastic Saturday and maybe even do something silly.
