Share a Book Review
We are on Day 3 of the Ultimate Blog Challenge and every day our host Paul sends out a suggested topic to write about, we can take it or leave it. All night I had been trying to come up with a topic and as soon as I saw today’s idea to share a book review, I figured Paul read my mind!
The past few days Lia has been busy getting her Lia’s Sunshine Bakery debut ready and I’ve been getting our community’s spring garage sale ready so my brain hasn’t had much time to think of topics ahead of time. I had a few books for the sale and when someone looked through my Entenmann’s Big Book of Baking, she mentioned if she baked she would buy it. After the customer left, I looked through this book again, one that has been in storage for about 7 years! It seems like I don’t use cookbooks often but I was re-ignited once I started reading over the recipes!
Some of the recipes are actually made with store bought Entenmann products and the recipes are so easy! These Berry Cakes are made using Entenmann’s Glazed buttermilk donuts! Don’t they look good for breakfast? Makes the family think you have been up hours baking these delicious looking berry cakes!
Look at this delicious brownie cheesecake made with Entenmann’s Little Bites Brownies! For this recipe you need will power because it has to be refrigerated for 8 hours before digging in to it!
After re-checking the recipes in this book, I found this easy recipe that is great for kids to help make! These Little Bites Flying Saucers are perfect for a party!
Of course I stumbled over this delicious Cookie Milkshake made with chocolate chip cookies! There are so many more recipes in the Almost Homemade section that are fun to make with little ones!
After checking out the book, I found so many recipes that are made from scratch that Lia and I will have to try. Such a variety of cookies and muffins that Lia picked out to make!
If you love to bake but also like quick and easy recipes I highly recommend this book filled with delicious recipes. And to think it’s been stuffed in the garage for years! I can see Lia making some of these recipes for Lia’s Sunshine Bakery.
This book is so full of delicious recipes that I forgot all about! This is my Amazon affiliate link if you want to check it out! I hope you enjoyed my share a book review and they made your mouth water!

Now I’m glad this book never sold at our previous garage sales Amrita! Can’t wait to try some of the recipes.
Wow! I didn’t know that Entenmann’s had a cookbook! I used to eat their chocolate chip cookies all the time. I look forward to seeing what you and Lia create from this book!
I’m glad I re-found the book Dominique. Lia and I will be busy trying some of the recipes!
Thanks for the review. The midnight cookie recipe looks great. I will definitely try it soon.
That does look delicous Cheryl!
this book sounds wonderful.. we do (well, my teenager more than me) love baking so i need to check out this book.. And so the pics of Lia’s bake sale – so very cool and not surprising that she sold everything within the hour
Lia now has a lot more recipe ideas for her next bake sale Vidya! She has so much fun!
Those recipes look scrumptious. Unfortunately, I can only have very little for a day because from the last APE, I was checked as diabetic.
My doctor gave me meds and a diet plan that delist food that gives sugar or that converts to sugar fast
I know, it’s frustrating.
Have you tried Monk Fruit sweetener Bing? It taste just like suger but almost sweeter! I have to cut down the amount of suage the recipe calls for. It’s zero carbs, glycemic, calories and keto approved. Comes in white or golden. I use Lakanto brand.
This cookbook sounds amazing! As a chef for many years before turning to writing full time, I absolutely LOVE cookbooks! Thank you so much for sharing. I will certainly check it out
How cool that you were a chef Beckie! I’m so glad no one bought this cookbook through out the years it was in our sale! Lia loves some of the recipes.

Martha, I used to eat Entenmann’s baked goods when I lived back East. Especially coffee cake with a crumb topping! I had no idea there was a cookbook! Thanks!
