Set of 6 Silicone Lids

I’m always trying to find the right size lid for storage containers or cooking without much luck.  I was so excited when I ordered this set of 6 silicone lids.   They are so versatile,  I can use them when I store left over foods in the refrigerator or when cooking.    The silicone used is 100% food grade, plus it is FDA and LFGB approved.   The set of six, are approximately 4″, 6″, 8″, 10″, 12″, and 14″ diameter.

Each lid has a small  silicone handle built in the center of the lid.   When I push down in the center, the lid is sealed on the bowl or pan.   I was frying bacon the other day and we all know how the bacon grease can splatter.

I used the 14″ lid on my frying pan and the bacon cooked perfectly.  One thing when using over heat, be careful to not get it on the burner.  If it happens to burn, it will not have an odor but it will have white smoke and residue.   Since the lids have suction, while I was cooking the bacon, I took a fork to release the seal and removed the lid by the center handle.  Word of caution when using with heat, what ever you are cooking will be hot and when the lid is removed the steam will escape, so be careful not to get burnt by the steam.

The other cool thing I do with the 4″ lid is cover my drink glass. When outside, it’s a great way to keep flying critters out of my glass.    The suction is so strong, I can actually lift the glass while it’s full of liquid.    The silicone lids are perfect to use when having an outside picnic for the same reasons, keep unwanted flying critters out of the salads!

Storing leftovers is great, no rummaging through the cupboard looking for the right sized lid.  The lids are super when eating foods in the microwave, again no splatter of food all over the inside of your microwave. These Super Kitchen Silicone Lids are easy to clean, I just wash in hot water with dish detergent and if any grease on the lid, it’s easily removed.

Each lid has a small opening on the edge for hanging, another great space saver idea.  I have my silicone lids hung on the wall next to the cupboard that has my storage containers so they are super handy.  I am very impressed with the quality, the construction and the strength of these silicone lids that I received in exchange for my honest review.

Yes Brenda, every kitchen should have a set. Whether for storage, microwaving, cooking or covering for picnics, they have so many different great ways to be used. Plus by hanging them up, I don’t lose them like the plastic ware I have more bottoms than tops! Thanks for checking them out.

They’re great for leftovers especially if you leave in a pan that doesn’t have a top. But they are also great for when I cook bacon, no more splattering grease. Thanks for visiting Alexandra.

  3. These look like some amazing lids. I could some.

They are great in so many ways Sandy! I love to use the large one when frying bacon, they are lightweight and quick and easy to uncover to flip bacon and cover back up. Cleanup is a breeze also. I love the variety of sizes. Thanks for stopping by!
