Scavenger Hunt Idea
Today’s topic of the Cornerstone Content Blog Challenge is something that ignites an idea like a scavenger hunt idea! Back in August for Lia’s 2nd birthday party we had a Paint Chip scavenger hunt. It was fun for both kids and adults. This is my blog I posted in September. http://themarthareview.com/paint-chip-scavenger-hunt/
After seeing how much fun Lia’s paint chip scavenger hunt idea was, I took it one step farther. We took our paint chips and went on a hike and found something in every color. How fun was that to see different things in nature in all the colors. http://themarthareview.com/fun-scavenger-hunts-on-our-hike/
Just before we went on our nature paint chip scavenger hunt I won The Ultimate Book of Scavenger Hunts filled with different scavenger hunts! The book is awesome and since Lia loves finding things it helps her learn about different things while we are out and about. We did the Discover Nature’s Palette on our hike too.
Once Lia’s little birthday party and scavenger hunt in our backyard was over, it brought all kinds of hunt ideas to me. A scavenger hunt is like a challenge, you don’t give up until it’s over and you have found everything.
So the other day my friend who sent me the Paint Chip Scavenger Hunt idea sent me another idea and is this one super cool! It’s a Christmas Light Scavenger Hunt! It might be too late for this year but I’m definitely going to keep this in my memory bank for future years. This is what’s fun about coming up with something that ignites an idea, you can build on the original idea and come up with many more that are similar but different.
My dog Pearl is on a scavenger hunt everyday- for rodents, bunnies and squirrels 😂
LOL that’s a good one Kate! Scavenger hunts are fun and Lia learns about nature when we do nature hunts.
Martha, how wonderful! I have only been on scavenger hunts about 3 times in life, and they were fun! Thanks for the paint chip scavenger hunt idea, plus the entire book! I do think scavenger hunts make us more observant, which is especially great training for kids.
Yes they are fun and definitely great learning experience for kids! Lia enjoyed her hike and it’s so much more fun when searching for items. Thanks for stopping by Kebba.
What a fun idea.
It’s so much fun Amanda! Great idea to help Lia learn about nature also.
