SCARY HAUNTED HOUSE

SCARY HAUNTED HOUSE

Do you like a scary, spooky, bloody and did I say SCARY HAUNTED HOUSE?   That’s what you’ll get when you visit Evil on Erie Haunted House in Lafayette Indiana every weekend in October!   The setting is on 1910 Wilson Street, Lafayette Indiana and open from 7PM til Midnight on Oct. 6-7, 13-14, 20-21, and 26-27-28.

This is from the history tab of the EVIL ON EIRE website:

“The Story of Evil on Erie
For ages two worlds lived divided until by accident a portal was opened……..
In 1956 a warehouse was built to house products to be sold to the general public. From the outside it looked like any other building with windows and doors. But for those that worked within it, there was a feeling of unease. Many employees talked about cold spots that occurred all year long, summer or winter. Others swore they saw shadows walk past them, sometimes the shadows would reach-out to them leaving marks on their bodies. This went on for years, the building changed ownership, but the same things happened. Then in 2011 the current owners built a new facility and left the building vacant. Over the next three years neighbors reported to local police that they heard screams and saw lights in the vacant building. The police searched the building on several visits but found it empty. Then in 2015, the owners of Indiana Fields of Fear Haunted Attraction signed a lease with the owners. As they began to move in their workers felt the same sensations as past employees. Wabash Valley Paranormal was called into to bring their equipment to the building and determine if it held true ghosts. After three investigations including one with a local Journal and Courier Reporter, they have deemed the building truly haunted. The one thing that has occurred since their investigations is that all involved have developed severe nightmares that are so real that they wake up with marks over their bodies. They believe they somehow open a portal to another world, one that allows nightmares to attach to all that enter the building. SO if you dare, enter Evil on Erie, house of nightmares, where your dreams really do come true!”

Both my granddaughter, Alexandra and my grandson’s girl friend, Jordan are featured in the haunted house.  They look scary and gory with their make up but both are very beautiful! For a sneak preview, check out garyjohnhiggins “Evil on Erie” YouTube commercial.

I’d love to visit this scary haunted building but, unfortunately, I live an ocean away (well, that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it! 🙂 )

    • Martha says:

I think it would be exciting to visit the haunted house for the history but I’m not one for scary and horror, so thankfully I’m 900 miles away and won’t be going either! That’s my excuse and I’m sticking it it also Bill. Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Looks like a fab event although I’d be terrified. What a great cause too

  3. Glenda Cates says:

Like I tell Charlie if I visited these places or watched Horror Movies I wouldn’t sleep so its better if I avoid them all together forever.

    • Martha says:

Oh me too Glenda! I can’t even watch a half scary movie on TV! But kids today love this kind of things and it’s for a great cause. Thanks for visiting!

  4. What a creative way to raise money for a great cause!!! I bet your grandchildren have a blast too!

    • Martha says:

Yes, they have worked hard getting everything together to scare others. LOL I’m about 900 miles away and it’s probably a good thing because there is no way I could handle going through a scary haunted house! I can’t even handle a corn maze! ROTFL Thanks for stopping by Carrie.

  5. That WAS a scary commercial! Interesting. So is there a city called Erie, Indiana? I live in Erie, PA and for a second, I thought it might be a local haunted house!
    Thanks for sharing!

  6. I don’t do haunted houses. I’ve always avoided doing anything scary for fun. There are enough scary things happening in real life to deal with. This one looks too scary for me to walk through. My kids used to love them, though. I don’t even watch suspense and scary movies.

    • Martha says:

I’m with you Barbara, if I watch a scary movie, I have to keep my eyes closed! I can’t even take a corn maze! But kids seem to like haunted houses and this is for a good cause, but glad I’m 900 miles away. Thanks for visiting.
