Remembering Mom with a Favorite Picture
Today is the end of my Photography Week and what a perfect ending as I’m remembering mom with a favorite picture. Mom was called home 23 years ago January 15, 2000. Yesterday’s blog was filled with memories of mom and other loved ones I lost in the month of January.
Since today’s topic is to share a favorite picture and have my readers share it on social media I knew this was the one. Who knows it may even go viral!
This is a picture of an Azalea bush in mom’s memory garden. Mom loved flowers and cardinals and this picture is full of love and memories of my mom. I’m looking forward to seeing the blooms this spring and I know mom will be looking down smiling. I love and miss you mom.
I’m so jealous of this garden!!! I have no clue what to do with mine. This post has reminded me to call my mom!!! LOL This is a great idea to remember mom by creating a memory garden. If I do one of my mother eventually, I’ll have to include some fairies because she’s always had a fairy garden. Keep up the wonderful writing!
Oh yes, definitely add things her mom loves Jean! Our memory garden started small we we just added flowers as we went along. Mom loved flowers and she is now surrounded with them.
Thanks for sharing Martha! I have many happy memories when I look at certain flowers of both my grandmother & mother. Have a wonderful day!
Happy memories from flowers are great Jean.
Beautiful picture. I love azalea too. A beautiful tribute to have a memory garden for your mom. ❤️
Thanks Cheryl, I always feel my mom’s presence when I’m in her garden.
Those flowers are so pretty.
Thanks Amanda, mom loved flowers.
Martha, what great memories you have! And what stunning blooms! I must find out if azalea can do well in Phoenix.
Thanks for these images.
I love Azaleas because even after they bloom the bush stays green year round Kebba.
Martha, what a nice idea to have a memory garden for your mother and such beautiful flowers, Thanks for sharing some of your memories. I think Azaleas will become one of my favorite flowers, if I can find one in this color.
Thanks for stopping by Chef William. This azalea was given to us at mom’s funeral. It was in a small gallon container and now it’s over 5′ high and 6′ wide! I know mom is loving it.
