Rainbow Connection Spiritual Sunday

Welcome to my Rainbow Connection Spiritual Sunday blog. Yesterday I was listening to the song Rainbow Connection, sung by Jim Henson back in the days from the Muppets. While I’ve heard this song since my children were young when they watched the Muppets, I never really listened to the words.

Rainbow connection spiritually

Some say rainbows symbolize hope, renewal, and connection between the earthly and the divine. They can be bridges that express a spiritual awakening with the promise of a fresh start. Since rainbows usually appear after storms they can remind us that challenges pass and new opportunities will come.

A rainbow can remind us of hope and a time to reflect on your journey. With the different colors, they can send a message to guide us to spiritual growth.

I love looking at rainbows and often wonder if they are like a bridge between the earthly world and spiritual world, like a connection between the earth and heaven.
Jesus Listens

In my Jesus Listens reading today, it reminds me of a rainbow symbolizing hope and knowing that Jesus will always be near and he will guard our heart and mind.
Our church has fundraiser breakfast the second week of every month for a church in Nigeria and today was the third time I ventured there by myself. This time I was sitting next to a lady who we made her window treatments many years back and as she was introducing me to the servers she told them she still has them hanging! Wednesday starts the weekly Grieve Share and I’ll be attending with the lady I was with for the Holiday Grieve Share. Little by little and with God on my side, I’m getting through this. Hoping everyone has a wonderful week.
Your post beautifully captures the deeper meaning behind rainbows! I loved how you connected their symbolism to hope and a bridge between the earthly and spiritual. It reminded me of moments with my kids—seeing their joy when a rainbow appears always feels magical. As a mom of four, I often find myself reflecting on life’s challenges and blessings, much like you’ve shared here.
Thanks Jasmine, rainbows are so refreshing and calming for me. Yes they do feel magical.
I really enjoyed this. It’s nice to know that rainbows are all about all things good. I especially liked hearing Kermit the Frog. I always loved the Muppets and so did my dad. He was so excited about Muppets, and he frequently talked about them. It was nice to see him so happy.
I’m happy you enjoyed the post and the Muppets Alice. Sometimes cartoon type shows and songs have special messages in them.
Martha, I love your post. Yes, everything you say about rainbows is true and powerful. Also, when Noah had been in the Ark for 40 days, a dove came back with a sprig from an olive tree, and a rainbow appeared as the sign of the new Covenant. Beautiful!
That tells a powerful message about the dove and rainbow Kebba.
Hi Martha
I am so glad that you have a great network to help you walk through the valley of this shadow.
I also hope this blogging network is helping too.
Blog on!
I have always said my blogging network friends are more like family Doug. Many are so far away but are always near me. Thanks for your kind words.
I love rainbows! Thank you for sharing these wonderful pictures and your thoughts on the subject. How wonderful that the lady still has your window work!
