Quiet Spiritual Sunday

Today is a cold and quiet Spiritual Sunday but I still start my day by going outside, reflecting on the past week, looking up above and thanking God for another day.

What better way to start my day in my quiet corner with a delicious cup of hot cocoa with a splash of chai concentrate and extra cinnamon on top. This is where I talk to my heavenly loved ones and I know God is listening and guiding me through.

As I read the daily devotional in my new book Jesus Listens, I’m amazed at how each message seems like it was written just for me. “I know You will give me everything I need to cope with the challenges I face” is the strongest message in today’s reading.

My wish for everyone on this quiet Spiritual Sunday is that you have a wonderful day filled with peace and love and may it continue throughout the week.

A painting I received for Christmas. It was done by Lia and her dad, they titled it “Calming Angel”, I love it so much!

Hi Martha! What a wonderful post. Just what I needed. I made a note of the very sentence that you then highlighted! I had actually written that down, reading your post, from the photo you had posted. Then I read: “I know You will give me everything I need to cope with the challenges I face” is the strongest message in today’s reading. That is how I felt too! Thank you. Have a Blessed Day. Diana

I’m so happy that this was what you needed Diana. It’s really great when a post “hits” us and then we find more than one felt the same way. Have a wonderful week.

    Hi Martha –

Today is a relaxing day for me, I have decided. I slept in later than usual, got putzing around, and and just going to relax today. Why not?!

I enjoyed a cup of coffee, as I always do. It has been a while since I had a cup of hot chocolate… sounds like a delightful way to start the day as well.

You just changed my day of relaxation – I am going to go out and get some good hot chocolate! When I go, I will still be relaxing! LOL.

    Stay awesome!

Sometimes we all need to just relax for the day Paul. I never drink coffee but love hot chocolate or chai tea. I even got my neighbor hooked on using hot cocoa instead of water for her coffee! Hope you had a relaxing day!

  3. Martha, Happy Spiritual Sunday! I am so glad you are nurturing yourself with quiet, sipping and pondering in your quiet corner. The feeling of a warm mug in the hands is so comforting. Also comforting is that “doddling” Lia’s dad made with her. I love it– it’s ethereal. Much love to you–

My quiet corner is my lifesaver at times Kebba and extra points with hot chocolate of chai tea. I love the Angel from Lia and her dad, it’s gifts like these that are so special. Have a wonderful week, hugs to you.

  4. What a nice way to spend Sunday.

What beautiful images. I could go for a cup of hot cocoa. Actually, I could go for a cup of hot cocoa with you and Lia as companions. Also, I love the painting!

Thanks Glenda, I have the Angel on my dresser and it’s the first thing I see every morning and the last thing I see every night. Hugs to you and your gang!
