Quick and Easy No Bake Cookie Recipe
We get a monthly magazine from Kroger Grocery store that is filled with coupons and recipes. As Lia was looking though this month’s issue she found a quick and easy no bake cookie recipe! Of course we had to make them right away!
The ingredients are those which we always have on hand so that’s a plus for me. It calls for sugar, margarine (we used butter), milk, peanut butter, cocoa, vanilla extract and quick-cooking oats. It reminded me of a recipe my grandmother use to make!
First combine the sugar, butter, milk and peanut butter in a pot, bring to a boil and let it cook for a minute.
Remove from heat and add the cocoa, vanilla and oats. Mix them quickly so the liquid part doesn’t harden and drop by spoonfuls on wax paper.
After the cooled Lia put them in a container with parchment paper between them. You can store them in the refrigerator if there are any left once you start eating them!
This quick and easy no bake cookie recipe is delicious but at 110 calories per cookie, it’s not exactly the best for those on a diet. However it would work on your cheat day!
Is Lia your daughter? She is adorable! I feel that no-bake recipes are very fitting for busy families.
Hi Rachel, Lia is one of my great granddaughters, she will be 3 years old in August. She loves to bake with me plus so much more! Lia has her own category on my blog, Lia the Baby Blogger! Thanks for visiting!
Sweet 🙂 You may have a pastry chef on your hands one day!
“Today on Master Chef, we welcome Chef Lia….” LOL that would be cool Rachel!!
Those sound super.
The best part they are quick and easy Roy!
Hi Martha and Lia, No-bake cookies are my favorite! When I started Keto-lifestyle, I had to find a recipe that would allow for me to eat those by replacing a few ingredients, the only things I had to substitute were the sugar (Stevia) and the oats (coconut flakes and almond slices), plus I use crunchy peanut butter to help give it more texture! Enjoy your yummy snack!
Sending lots of love and gratitude,
Jaime
OMG I love coconut Jaime, I’ll definitely make this with coconut next time! I use monk fruit sweetener at times but I find it so sweet I have to cut the amount down. Thanks for the great idea.
Martha, you’re sharing one of my favorite recipes!! I first got them from a Michigan grandma named Jean, so I called them Jean’s Fudge Drops. For fancy occasions, I have made them in tiny tart pans, and then drizzled white chocolate over the top and trimmed it with tiny chocolate chips. I once made 5 pounds of them for a church event. I have even frozen them sometimes, so I wouldn’t eat too many right away. Delicious! Thanks for the memories.
Oh my Kebba, they sound delicious drizzled with white chocolate! Thanks for the idea and glad our blog brought back a wonderful memory.
This looks oh so yummmmmm and I know I will be trying it out soon
