Potholder and Cookies
Hi everyone I’m excited to be back for another Ultimate Blog Challenge and I’ve have been so busy since July! I know it’s not Friday but I have so much to tell you I need more than one day a week so ma said I could have a Tuesday Storytime by Lia! I was so excited when my Aunt Jasmine asked me to be in her wedding! It was the second week of August so I had a few weeks after my 4K graduation to make her a gift! My story today is about a potholder and cookies.
Potholder
I love making potholders so I decided to make her a colorful potholder. I love adding so many colors together and they are fun to make. The only part I need help on is taking it off the loom so I let ma help me with that. She used to make potholders when she was a little girl and we even have one of hers in the kitchen!
When I was all finished I started looking for a box to put it in. Most of you know ma saves everything and she found a candy box with a heart shaped cover that was perfect for my potholder gift! I even made a little label using the Canva program. I was so excited for the wedding so I could give it to Aunt Jasmine.
Cookies
The week of the wedding I stayed at a beach house with my grandma Thelma, grandpa Steve, daddy and Aunt Jasmine so we could all get ready. Since I didn’t have time to bake, ma made some cookies and brought them over so I could frost them for grandma, we had a fun time doing that.
I started out with my famous Italian cookies and made purple frosting with sprinkles! These seem to be everyone’s favorite when I have my Alzheimer’s Fundraiser bake sale! You know I love my sprinkles!
I’ve made these brownie cookies before and they were oh so good so ma made a batch of those too. I had extra frosting so I decided to make sandwich cookies! They are my style of an Oreo but yummier!
We all had a fun day decorating cookies and playing UNO and SORRY Slider! Of course I won UNO, that’s my favorite game!
Aunt Jasmine’s Wedding
The next day would be Aunt Jasmine’s wedding and I was so excited and a little nervous too since I have never been in a wedding. The wedding was held on the beach and my aunt was so beautiful in her wedding gown. I will be sharing more on the wedding for my next Story Time by Lia but here is a sneak peak of me at the wedding!
Aw, how sweet. What a pretty dress, Lia.

Lia, you looked so beautiful at the wedding! can’t wait to hear more about it. And your hairdos are so cute. You did a great job decorating the cookies, and I bet they were yummy. I love cookies, too.
Lia remined me of a little Princess as she walked down the beach trail Jeanine. She sprinkled the pink sand perfectly along the way.
Lia, you are the best. 🙂 Cute pot holders and cookies.
Lia says thank you Amanda!
