I was excited when I was chosen to be a host at a Featured Party opportunity from
Tryazon. This company is dedicated to getting information on innovative products to people in fun
settings like this party. Pixicade is an award winning video game maker kit that teaches
game design and STEAM skills. The STEAM product is perfect for anyone 6
and older. Welcome to my Pixicade party review!

Lia loves to receive packages and as soon as the box arrived, she was ready to open it and check the products out.

What is STEAM? Most of us have heard of STEM which is science, technology, engineering and mathematics which are fundamental skills that students will need in the world after they complete their schooling, these products are STEM authenticated educational products. But have you heard of STEAM? They have added art which gives students the ability to add creativity to their problem solving. I would classify Pixicade as STEAM because it lets the children become creative with drawing. It’s so much fun to watch them draw a picture then turn it into their own video game!

There are two models, one can create 1600 games and the Pixicade Plus can create 2000 games! Both models come with instructions, three booklets and markers.

The first thing my granddaughter and her daughter did was play a sample game. The instructions are very easy to follow, instructing which color marker is used for the different features. You can run, jump and even double jump through the level to collect goals while avoiding hazards.

When playing your game, the green is used for moving your avatars, anything in red you want to avoid or the game is over, blue is what you have to collect to win the game and purple are the movable objects, the ones that you can move or push..

The first step of the Pixicade program is to draw a game design then snap the picture in the Pixicade app. The app is available on both iOS or Android. Lia is working on her picture so she can turn it into a game.

Once you snap your picture it becomes a video game and you start playing! It’s as simple as that! This is a video of how it works.

Although it states for 6 year old with help, it really depends on the ability of each individual child. My 3 year old great granddaughter enjoyed drawing a picture while making her game with the help of her mom. This is an example of the drawing she made to turn into her mobile game.

Pixicade is such a wonderful program, children can use their imagination with what they draw, turn it into their very own video game and have fun while learning at the same time. Everyone was so excited to learn about this awesome program at my Pixicade party.

The Pixicade or Pixacade Plus would be an awesome back to school gift for your children. If you homeschool this would be a fun way to teach them while having fun.
