Pineapple Banana Smoothie with a Surprise
It’s Friday Story Time by Lia and I’m sharing my recipe for a delicious pineapple banana smoothie with a surprise in it!
This is a pineapple banana smoothie Ma and I made a few weeks ago but I added a special ingredient to the one I made a few days ago.
First I added seven frozen pineapple chunks, I broke a banana in pieces and put them in the blender. I used the smoothie button and mixed the fruit together until it was smooth. The next thing to add was a few spoonfuls of coconut, Ma loves that! Now for my secret…. instead of adding crushed ice like Ma used in her first smoothie, I added a splash of coffee creamer! But not just plain creamer, it was white chocolate/raspberry flavored. I’m not done with the surprise, I also added a big spoonful of homemade strawberry/chocolate topping that Ma’s friend made and sent her a jar! Penny, your topping is delicious! Now that I have all the ingredients added, it’s time to blend everything together for about 3 minutes.
Now for the taste test. My pineapple banana smoothie with a surprise was SO GOOD!! See how mine looks a little different in color? That’s because of the strawberry/chocolate spread I used! Of course a smoothie wouldn’t be complete with adding whipped topping and two cherries, one for me and one for ma!
I hope you liked reading my smoothie recipe and let me know if you make one for yourself! They are so good!
I’ll see you next week for another fun Friday Story Time by Lia! Hope you have a great weekend, Ma’s birthday is Saturday so she will have a fun weekend I’m sure!
Lia, thank you for sharing this great smoothie recipe, I am not a huge san of coffee (like tea better0 but that little bit would prob make it good. I love smoothies and it’s always nice to mix it up. 🙂 I will try it sometime and let you know how I enjoy it. LOVE the pineapple part, :). I like that you put whip cream and cherries on top. Happy birthday to ma. May she had a wonderful birthday weekend!
Lia’s smoothie was so good Samantha! I’m a tea person also, never drink coffee, but the white chocoate/raspberry coffee creamer that Lia used is just creamer, it doesn’t have any coffee flavor in it. I even add a splash in my oatmeal or milk! Lia syas thank you for stopping by and thank you for the birthday wishes!
I love smoothies. In the warm months that is mostly what I eat all the time. I love your special recipe smoothie. Sounds yummy and was done with love.
We drink smoothies year round Brenda! Some times we make them thin and other times they are thick. Just depends on what we add to them. Lia had fun coming up with her recipe!
That looks good, Lia. Happy early birthday to your Ma. We both have March birthdays. 🙂 Sending hugs to both of you.
This was delicious Amanda, Lia loves coming up with exicing recipes! Thanks for the birthday wish and Happy Birthday to you too!
