People Inspiring Others

Lia Inspired by Alice

I’ve been reading blogs about inspiration and people who inspire others. That brought me to my blog post today about people inspiring others. There are many ways a person can inspire someone or be inspired, you may not even realize you inspired a person.

Last week my 3 year old granddaughter was looking at Facebook with me and when I clicked on my blogger friend Alice’s post she had the most adorable bear that she created. Lia loves drawing and painting and as soon as she saw Alice’s bear, she ran for her sketch book and while studying Alice’s bear she drew her own.

She checked Alice’s drawing then drew a little more and checked it again. Lia was so proud when she saw how much her bear (in her eyes) looked like Alice’s adorable bear. Alice was an inspiration for Lia to draw her bear. You can visit Alice’s recently renamed blog Sun, Moon, Stars (Alice’s Grand Adventures) where has so many more blogs of her inspiring art, some may even inspire you!

Now every time Lia and I see a picture that Alice has drawn, Lia says, “Oh did the ‘Bear Lady’ draw that?” So now Alice has a new nickname according to Lia!

Andrew Inspired by Lia

Some of my readers may have seen blogs about our neighbor Judy. When Judy stops over Lia immediately opens the door to the Princess room where they play for hours. They have tea parties, read books and play with dinosaurs. Both have so much fun.

Lia loves to share her baked goods with Judy and her 28 year old son known as Uncle Andrew to Lia. She made ice cream, filled two cups and took them over for Judy and Andrew.

The fun part is when Lia sneaks over and puts a container of cookies or muffins on the table in their garage without being seen.

They both love Lia’s baking and yesterday Judy stopped by with a small container of cookies that Andrew made. She told me this was Andrews first attempt at baking but when he tasted how delicious all Lia’s baked goods were he was inspired by her to try his hand at baking. I thought it was neat how he came up with his own recipe for orange flavored cookies using a box of cake mix, cool whip and poppy seeds for starters.

Alice inspired Lia with her drawings and Lia inspired Andrew with her baking. I love how inspired can work both ways, you can be inspired by others or others can be inspired by you.

Inspiration is so magical. It can come at any time, you have no idea where or who from. It also means, as you so perfectly demonstrated here, Martha, that we also never know when we might be inspiring someone else. Simply by being who we are. It’s so beautiful, thank you sharing!

  2. I love how people get inspired by others. You never know how much joy you are bringing to the world by sharing something you love.

It’s quite amazing how the ripple affect workds on inspiring others Tamara. Lia loves sneaking her goodies to the neighbors and leaving them at their door or garage.

  4. Martha, kindness propagates. What beautiful lessons among your kind circle. Andrew’s cookies sound good! Now what flavor are the ones that look large in the center picture?

    • Martha says:

If your talking about the ones with Lia and Judy, those are cups of Lia’s home made ice cream she made for Judy and Andrew. Gosh if we lived closer, Lia would keep you filled with cookies and ice cream Kebba!
